Had to drill big hold in car door, for mirror remote control. Worked fine for 1 hole!

I was hopeful that this would work to bore out a hole in a metal knock out to make it bigger. Using a hammer drill, it made little progress. Despite it only costing $9-ish dollars, it is not worth the hassle to return it.

Adequate for my task.For what it costs there wasn't too much in the way of expectations. I just needed to widen two existing holes in mild stamped 18GA steel parts. This was done at low speed, about 180RPM with some oil and the part clamped in a vice on a drill press.Pros:Very low cost, practically disposable!Cons:For the material, there was much more wear than one would expect for working mild steel.The longevity of this tool is about what one would expect.If you want a Unibit/Bradrad step drill that can stay in your toolbox and be used many dozens of times for years, this is not the tool to get. You will pay 5 to 10 times as much for such a tool.

I purchased 2 of these, the first drilled atleast 25 holes in galvanized steel but only to the 7/8 step, the second which is in the picture drilled 2 and a half holes. I will never waste my money on this again

Attempted to drill a hole in 16 gauge steel the day it was delivered. No go. I didn’t return it because I damaged it trying to cut a hole.
