I put it on a 500 also. Holds shells very snugly. Good product. Easy install. **Q: Will the side saddle interfere with a helf handed persons ability to use the firearm? (Mossberg 500) as well as use the safty?** A: I don’t see why it would. The base plate sits pretty flush on the weapon, and never interferes with my safety. **Q: Will this fit a mossberg 12 ga shockwave with a crimson trace laser?** A: The model or production run that is currently going out will not fit the Shockwave at all (countersunk the wrong direction), I finally ended up getting the Monstrum Side Saddle and can say at least crimson trace fits on the monstrum with no issues! Seriously though, avoid this product, major QA issues and no response from the company. **Q: Have the problems been fixed with the mounting people keep referring to?
