Seems to be fine. I like what I see. Gaskets are nothing to cheap on, a lesson you learn after a blow out or two. This helps. Would buy again.

A must IMO for head gaskets, works great as always, no complaints.

Careful prep and this stuff sticks great. Used it on my old SUV exhaust manifold gasket and it sealed up the tiny leak that was making the whole living room shake when i remote-started it in the driveway 🤦‍♂️. I’m glad it dries fast, I finished the job before the kids got home. 👍

I bought this for my son to use when he works on his vintage Mustang. It sprayed evenly and didn’t clog up, which made things less frustrating for him. I liked that there wasn’t a strong chemical smell. He finished the gasket job much faster than usual, so I was glad to see that.

Sucked into assembling a Corvette engine by my adorable wife, and with my hopes and dreams of her endless expressions of gratitude for my awesomeness running through my head when I finish this Herculean task... I am now a dedicated Midnight Mechanic who heads to the garage after every dinner to figure out the latest problem with internal combustion small block Chevy's... So, how does Permatex copper spray fit in you ask? When inserting a head gasket, I use this nifty can to spray both sides so it looks like a solid gold Christmas Tree ornament. Whoops, nope, that's what I do AFTER I finish building the engine. This is the King Midas spray stuff. I use this nifty can to spray a light coating of real gold (okay, it's actually copper, but it looks like gold) on both sides of the head gasket before installation. This does two things. 1. The lightly tacky surface grabs the block and head when they are mated up and is less likely to move or shift while being torqued down. 2. Copper is extremely effective at transferring heat (that's why expensive pots and pans have thick copper disks in the bottom). Since the area where the engine heads meet the block is probably the hottest part of the engine, the hope is that the copper on the gasket will spread the heat around more evenly (minimizing metal deformation from heat or warping) and, hopefully, transfer the heat AWAY from the hot areas so they will stay cooler, allowing for an overall cooler engine temperature. Yes, those are very high expectations for about 25 seconds of spray from a $9 can of liquid gold. Those are my hopes, and I have read that other mechanics do the same. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. You can also use it to make GREAT Christmas ornaments. Spray anything you can hang on the tree. It works on Dreidels too! Tell everyone they are solid gold. Who can argue? DO NOT use this on your dentures. No one will believe your entire grill is solid gold. In fact, do NOT use this on any body parts or anything that will come in contact with any body parts for more than a few minutes. OK? I do NOT want to see your YouTube video of how you used this on your (former) girlfriend's hair. Somebody STOP ME....

Used this product many times on new head gaskets, no leaks ever. You will get a little copper flake in your coolant passages but thats fine. Flash dries and tacks in like 5-10m and ready to install. I only use it on the gaskets themselves and not the block or head.
