Well built with heavy canvas type construction, this will no doubt hold whatever items you can fit in it without worry of breaking the unit.I use this as a supplementary bag with my backpack for hiking, keeping essentials in it that could be used as a stand-alone survival kit, should I for some reason or another become separated from my main pack.Items that always remain in this bag include: lensatic compass, first aid kit, topo map of the area, 55 gallon contractor (2 mils) trash bag, flashlight, pocket knife, lighter, 20 yd. hank of 550 cord, 10 yd. flat wrap of Gorilla Tape, 2 way radio (clipped outside on the leg strap), water purification tablets, collapsible silicone cup, and 4 emergency food ration bars, with room for other smaller items.The bag does not come waterproofed or even water resistant, but a liberal application of mink oil and 2 hours in an oven set at 170° made it quite water resistant, keeping everything dry except in the most torrential of downpours and, of course, submersion.Only downsides are that the main flap doesn't cover the opening all the time unless full, or by some manipulation of the pocket. The internal zipper doesn't fully close, but I knew that before purchasing on the presumption the main flap would fully cover it. And the last thing is the stupid "FASHION" leather patch on the lower left of the unit, which I "fixed" with a strip of Gorilla Tape.The unit is comfortable enough for all day wear, and the buckles stay secure and tightened to what you tighten them to. The hip buckle could be a little smaller to accommodate using the belt loops on your pants, but it's really no big deal.Overall it's a 4 star bag at a dirt cheap price that, if properly cared for, should provide years of use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good bag. *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2020* Nice bag. My only gripe with it is the bigger pocket feels a bit to tight making taking things out of it slightly more annoying.
