Stunning Gaming Projector
After speaking to a Projector retailer, i decided to go for this gaming projector as i wanted to get the full potential out of my PS5, I wasn't disappointed, the image is absolutely stunning. There are a few minor details that i didn't like but can live with. PRO's - Image quality amazing for both gaming and movies 3 gaming settings, RPG, FPS,SPS Fan noise Low Built in APPs for streaming Movies Easy to set up once in the correct position Option to pay over 6/12 months Can project upto a 300" screen CONS - NO X,Y keystone for changing screen size, which means you need to get the projector in the exact position to match you screen which can be tricky. I had to buy a ceiling mount as the throw projects at an upward angle and not straight Speaker volume not great but i have a small room so is enough for me, a larger room would need a soundbar. Turning off the projector takes about 2 mins to power off. The Price is high but you won't get a 4K 90" Tv for less than £1100 Would i recommend this projector? YES, Although it has some cons, they don't outweigh the pro's. Before you buy i recommend that you study the projector scale so that it can be positioned in the right place as i said you can't change the screen size through the settings, screen size is determined from the distance you have projector from the screen

The best projector under 2k you can buy for roof mounting
I buy a lot of projectors. I use them exclusively for TV and cinema in two rooms of my house and I've tried quite a few of the ones on Amazon before settling. While this isn't a projector I kept it certainly was one I wanted to. The picture is really massive for the throw distance and the best quality of all projectors I've seen and tried. Its fan noise is comparably very quiet and the overall look and feel is premium and brilliant. The reason I didn't keep it is that the throw angle means it needs to be roof mounted. Its possible to have it on a stand by severely angling it (and I was very tempted), or by having a much smaller picture and putting it on a table low and in front of the wall but you lose a lot of the reason for buying it. Correctly fitted this will fill an entire wall with gorgeous quality picture. If you can roof mount then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this.

Easy setup and excellent quality
Was pleased with this product as soon as I took it out the box. Easy to set up and the quality is exactly as I wanted. Will be fun!

You pay for what you get
I tried a 1080p projector before this and even at a smaller screen size was dissapointed, but this is true native 4k is amazing for watching shows and gaming ( 4k 60fps so ideal for anything other than fps ) It can go uptp 240hz if you lower the resolution but i never have. Crystal clear 4k picture for shows and my pc has made this a great purchase

Richer Sounds poor and product faulty within 5 months
5 months old and now when I plug it in and it won't power up. I've changed the fuse and checked the plug and socket. There's just no power. Richer sounds say as bought through Amazon need to go through them and out with the 30 days. The worst service and would never buy with Richer Sounds especially through Amazon again. I’m left with nowhere to turn just now

I’m glad I splashed out
I ordered this project to replace my existing one. I feel I had to install the machine further away from the screen that the specifications stated in order to get the size I needed, but I would still class it as “short throw” the image quality is very impressive and closely compares to my 4K Sony TV. I would definitely recommend. Only negative is I can’t seem to get the ARC function to work, after researching online this seems to be a common issue.

Punchy and quiet 4K projector
Onto my second BenQ projector, having previously also owned an Optoma. Good configurability and bright, vibrant picture out of the box. Quieter than my previous 1080p model. Updated remote is certainly more aesthetically pleasing than the older versions although feels a bit plasticky.

Good picture, average to poor connectivity
This has the potential to be an excellent projector coupled with its bundled QS01 Android TV (ATV) dongle; the main reason I bought it. The picture is great and it's very easy to set up wired with an HDMI connection to a device and cable to external speakers (its on-board audio is as feeble as most projectors, sort of like a large transistor radio in quality). However its vaunted wireless features are somewhat lacking and tricky to get working. Purchased in Dec 2021, out of the box, it already needed a firmware upgrade for the remote control, projector menu system and ATV dongle interface to play nicely together; the projector menu didn't work once the remote was paired with the ATV dongle. Well ok, fine, firmware upgrade abound, it's all good. But imagine my confusion when I discovered this was not just a simple case of connecting it to <something> with some <whatever> downloaded software and just, you know, doing the upgrade. No! You have to actually raise a support ticket and get a courier to come and get the kit, send it in to the local repair agents for firmware upgrades and wait around from 9-5 on the designated day of bring back! Medieval, no? To be fair, they under-promise and over-deliver on the turnaround time. They said 10 working days but it was back in about 2. But still, ridiculous! Even after the firmware upgrade which gets the menus and remote etc working, the Bluetooth is cantankerous. Once you've got it hooked up to your external speakers, it's fine but getting it to see the devices available for pairing needed a few tries. As did connecting once I found the device. Once that's all ready to rumble, you're offered a pretty decent line-up of streaming apps on board the ATV dongle including Amazon Prime video. Netflix however is not an option (I understand BenQ are in talks with them...). They offer a workaround where you can cast to the ATV dongle from whatever device that supports casting and has Netflix in a browser, on it. I guess you could cast your desktop if you were running the app, too. In any case, this does indeed.... almost sort of work a little bit. The problem you have - or that I have - (and you have it watching Amazon videos on board the dongle as well) is that the Wi-Fi keeps dropping out and then it's a tremendous faff to get it to reconnect. You can sit there and watch the list of available wifi networks appear and disappear and the dongle attempt and fail to reconnect to your wifi network any number of times. Sometimes turning off wifi and turning it back on again works, sometimes not. Rebooting the dongle works. But it happens randomly and any number of times during streaming to the dongle or casting to it. It makes it not fun to watch anything on. I've tried many things and hit the limit of my technical knowledge and none of them make any difference. At the time of writing, I have a new support ticket opened with BenQ and await a response. If they do manage to help me get it fixed (I've found their support quality to be inconsistent), well, good; then I can enjoy a relatively wireless high quality home cinema experience. But I'm not changing this review even if that does happen because I've had the kit for 3 months+ and it shouldn't be this hard to get it to do what it claims to be able to do (which was the reason I chose it over other kit). Good potential and easier to use than other BenQ models but somewhat cantankerous to get working. Might recommend buying depending on your requirements.

Good
Overall very good. Image quality is exceptional. They are quite noisy and powering off takes a while, sometimes a few minutes.

6 MONTHS OF USAGE & STILL AMAZING , NO REGRET ALL WORTH IT !
I am using this projector around 5-10 hours per day and I love every seconds of it! I've used it on my apple 4k tv, ps5 and xbox series x. I was hesitant at first between this projector a 65" lg c1 oled tv because they are around in similar price range, but chose this one instead because the experience in huge screen as long as the light is controlled beats the beauty that an oled offers , it's way more immersive . PROS: 1. Great picture (as long as light is controlled) , im using lampsave 90% of the time and its still great,, 2. LOW INPUT LAG - great even for fps games! 3.DOLBY ATMOS - Yes this one supports it! 4. LOW SOUND/FAN NOISE - I honestly dont hear it at all, im sitting almost beside it. CONS 1.SOUND sucks , im using a SONY HT-A9 so its great and heavenly experience! 2.NO AUTO KEYSTONE ADJUSTMENTS on GAME mode - yes you really need to place it perfectly if you are planning to use it for gaming as auto keystone is off during game mode. Overall its a great projector that even beats projectors that are 5-10x its price in terms of its input lag !
