Works Great, Don't count on understanding the instructions!
First thing I want to point out it that this comes filled with ink! I had no idea when I ordered it, nice surprise!Installing this is far easier than the instructions make it look! They are in bad would be an understatement English. Look at the pictures and use Youtube, even if it is for a different brand they all show about the same thing. Here is a rundown though, open the cover, let the sled move into position, unplug (not sure why), remove old carts and put in the new ones, place the clamp thing to hold the tubes on the inside of the cover (I did not trust the pics and just closed the lid to check tube placement then stuck the thing on), slide the sled with some force all the way to the left, put the tube in the clamp thing with a bit of slack, plug it back in, close the cover, mount the tubes on the outside how you like (I don't think it would be a good idea to have the tank above the print carts in terms of height). Open the air hole plugs they are the smaller ones in the back! When you turn the printer on your going to see the that printer is not happy with the non-HP carts as in loss of warranty (my printer is like 4 yrs old so whatever). Print away, print away, print away! Don't get rid of the syringe thing you'll need it to re vacuum the lines/cart if you run out.The instructions say something about keeping the original HP carts to put in if you have to remove/reinstall. I had originals in and the printer still knew, I had to click ok about the warranty loss, maybe I did something wrong but I don't think so.Print quality, I did a test print before I took the originals out and then one after. I can't see any difference! I am happy overall, the instructions sucked though so I took off one star!DISCLAIMER : I received this product for free or at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Big Money and Time Saver!
I was tired of paying insane amounts of money for the 950 /951 HP ink cartridges for my HP 8600 printer. I tried refillable cartridges and found them too messed and time consuming to refill. I came across the GABX HP 950/951 continuous ink supply system and was willing to give it a try.Pros* Pre filled with premium dye ink.* The CISS cartridges appear to be retrofitted HP originals, therefore they have chips already on them.* Includes a priming syringe and tubing clamps.* Has an attractive black casing over the ink tanks that matches my printer.* Is fitted with a dampener on the cases side to control the ink flow.Cons:* The instructions are not the greatest, so I located an installation video online and watched that.Once everything was installed, I ran the clean cycle and printed a test page. I was impressed with the print quality for such an inexpensive item. Overall, I highly recommend the GABX CISS system; It's a great system that will save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
