Generally a good and competent indoor monitor camera
I had previously bought a few of the Kasa 1080p indoor pan/tilt corded cameras and liked them a lot. I tried these 2K cameras and they seem to be about the same. Still a fan (though I don't really see that the picture is a lot better on the 2K than on the 1080p cameras). They are easy to set up, have a good range of motion and a good picture. They are very quiet in the room when the pan motors are running, so they don't disturb the monitored occupant. The night vision works pretty well, at least inside the house. They are not very good for looking out a window from inside at night. They are fairly inexpensive and pretty versatile for indoor monitor cameras. I have had some challenges with recording video on the micro sd card and then transferring that video to another device (like my laptop), though that was with the 1080p cameras and I haven't tried it yet with the 2K version.

BEST CAMERA!!! ๐ท
I have bought 4 of these. I started with one and really needed an outdoor camera to watch my house so I put it up during the summer months. I figured I would just leave it up for winter and see how it would do and hopes it would make it. I live in interior Alaska and it got -75 below this winter for about a month. The camera never stopped working!!! It detected motion all the way out to my road which is about 50 yards away. It would sense headlights coming by before even seeing the vehicle. I know these arenโt outside cameras but they work great. Also something to note is I have them underneath eves and my car port so they are not exposed to direct rain or snow. The only issue I had was that the rotating part on the camera would build up with a little frost and not always do a full 360ยฐ and I would just have to grab it with my hand and break the frost free and it would be fine. I have bought 4 of these already and put them around my house. The subscription is cheaper than most cameras as well so I like that for recording and it goes to the cloud you donโt have to have an SD card. Best money I ever spent!

Excellent value for a very versatile and feature packed remote camera.
These cameras are excellent! The price paid is minimal compared to the total amount of functionality. They do track objects that trigger them, maybe not as smoothly as higher priced options (I donโt know, have not tried others). For the mobility of relocating the camera by simply picking it up and finding a new location, itโs massively more practical than the full wired systems available. Until you know where you want those more expensive cameras to be permanently installed, these cameras are a great alternative! Also, great for keeping a watch on whoโs passing by your place at window-level. Wired cameras have to be mounted high enough to be safe from getting ripped down by trespassers, these see through windows during the day very well. Interior night vision is top notch, seeing outside through windows at night is more difficult. With the sensitivity turned up, every time a tree branch blows it triggers the cameras. This leads to near constant triggering of alerts during the late Spring, Summer and early Fall. And, lots of recordings every day. So, you need to use the App to designate areas to watch for motion, or itโll drive you nuts and frustrate you. To the point that you may start to ignore the notices. The App provides great control, and allows remote on/off, sensitivity setting changes, you can set to record noise triggers or remove that, set trigger zones, move the camera via the App, and other adjustments. I have noticed that the App actually does offer more functions, and work a little more smoothly, through my phone than my very new tablet. No idea why, it should be the same App for both platforms, no? But, of course watching the playback on the larger screen is so much better, so I do use both. The service plan allows storage of recordings from up to 10 cameras for $10 per month. Much more cost effective than others I looked into. The cons: Canโt see thru glass with the built-in lights, at night. Reflection off the glass blinds the camera. That should have been obvious to me from the start, since these are designed for indoor use only. but I had naively hoped for better night vision performance. So, if looking out a window, get a motion-activated light to trigger so you can see whatโs going on out there. Just donโt set it up where it will shine in your bedroom and wake you up. App functionality on phone is higher than on tablet, no idea why. You will want to have the App on at least a phone, if not both. Sometimes, some cameras will trigger, others wonโt, for the same event. Deer moving around the house sometimes are ignored by one camera, recorded by another. Also happened that another outdoor camera from another manufacturer recorded a vehicle trespassing, these cameras didnโt. Had to adjust the sensor sensitivity, but I think the baseline software settings should be set to trigger sooner on vehicles. Branches moving on the breeze cause constant notices, even with Person Detection Mode activated. A more elaborate software system might offer better monitoring, but for the pro systems, this requires fully wired systems with dedicated main recording components/control systems . Much more expensive, and I canโt afford to open the walls throughout the property. Overall, these are great! I have bought several models, both the fixed ones and the bigger moving ones. All look great when set to the highest recording resolution, seem to last a long time, and are a breeze to set up or switch from spot to spot. I very much recommend this camera! I also hope the manufacturer can produce a 4K version.

Itโs okay
Itโs was a little hard to set up at first little confusing but you have to go into ur WiFi and go though there after that it was super easy !! The quality is okay and to zoom in and out is good .. the only bad thing I would have to say is the app will glitch and then just go out of the app right back to ur Home Screen ..

Bought it for the third time
This is my third time buying this camera. I use it to check on my pet when Iโm not at home, and it works well. The video quality is clear, and the pan and tilt feature makes it easy to see more of the room. The app is simple to use, and the motion alerts are helpful. Overall, it is a reliable indoor camera and Iโm happy with it.

Came back for more- does not disappoint
Honestly, I bought this brand after trying another brand that didnโt work at all , and chose Kasa based off reviews on Reddit. They did not disappoint. it looks sleek. I got the 2K model. Even though itโs not as high quality as my LG Ultragear 2k screen (as expected), it is surprisingly sharp even with digital zoom. I got this to watch my cat while Iโm away. You can set manual view points and toggle between them quickly and the camera surprisingly moves between them pretty fast. Thereโs probably a 0.5-1 second delay between using the controls to move the camera and it takes some getting used too, but for $40 what can you expect. The night vision is great. The motion tracking is decent but a little jumpy. Overall, the app interface and experience seems pretty intuitive and aesthetic. Especially with the crispy picture quality. I only bought 1 initially because I wanted to test out before have to deal with trying to get my money back on 4 cameras (like last time). One important thing to note on the set up. It initially only worked for a few seconds and I had to restart to get it to go back on, and it would still only work for a few seconds I have an xfinity gateway that likes to keep the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands combined. I cannot split my bands as it interferes with my connectivity on draining tasks like my work. I was able to manually switch the 2.4Ghz band to a stable channel (arbitrarily i used 11) instead of automatically switching. Once I made the change everything was smooth (my internet connect remained stable at 500Mbps) and there was no hiccups with the camera. As of now, I have already ordered 2 more because of how happy I am with this product. This is not sponsored. I almost never leave comments but was compelled to do so cause it has exceeded expectations by a mile.

Good camera-been using for years
Good camera that Iโve used for a few years now. I like that it sits subtly in the corner and notifies me of any motion pointed at my door. It does randomly disconnect from the app and Iโll go a few days without any notifications unless I click on the app. It stopped recording on my SD card but Glenn helped me fix that!

Work with any USB wall charger
Yes, these do come with a US style wall charger but work with any USB charger It means I can keep my plan of Kasa in one house and Tapo in the other Makes it easier to identify even though the Tapo app can separate them
