Fundamentals of Differential Equations (8th Edition)

For those who have to take Differential Equations in a high reputation college where mathematical courses are very rigorous, this is the perfect textbook to study with. I have seen no other textbook where concepts and solved exercices are well explained. Its price is really worth it. I would buy it again if I could. Thanks to this book, I could pass my Differential Equations course and sometimes I like to read it again, even though I already pass this course many many years ago.

The item arrived as described. It was brand new, no wear-and-tear and no highlighting or marks. It arrived in an Amazon box and was not wrapped which may be a small concern for those who are picky about their books. Otherwise, the item was in good shape and the service was prompt.

I needed this book for my class, but found online notes much more helpful in learning the material than reading the textbook. There are some good problems in the exercises though and the odd answers in the back are more thorough than some other books I've used in the past. Nothing about the book made it really stand out to me though. I have used some mathematics books in the past that really bring the topics to life with pictures and problems that utilize subject material from other courses. This is pretty straightforward with some (almost unavoidable) connections to physics and population growths. It's not bad, it's just not great.

Good examples are there, just not many of them. If you're taking an online class with this book, I would recommend the solutions manual. If it is in-class with a professor, this book will most likely suffice. Overall, you will learn what you need to with this text.

A good text on Differential Equations. Well written.

Paid for a new book, but received what is clearly a used copy. There's a tear in the front of the cover, scuff marks on the front and back, dents on the edges, and a large scratch on the back cover. The inside appears to be fine, but I'm a little miffed at paying the extra $20 for a new copy and receiving a used one. Update: On further inspection, the inside is NOT okay. The binding is coming apart on the front insert and the first few pages. Extremely unimpressed. If you want an actual new copy of this book, I suggest ordering elsewhere.

This textbook is really confusing. If you don't need to get it, I recommend that you don't. It's not helpful as an aid for teaching yourself Differential Equations, and even with my lectures from a university professor, it's still really hard to understand.

Will buy again

Just get your notes online, books are completely overrated.
