It is very waxy, and was hard to figure out how to use in the beginning. My vet demonstrated and left me to it. I had to refill the hole as needed usually every 4 days. **Q: Can this be used on cow's?** A: Don't see why not. I used it on my horse **Q: Can I use this on a very deep chip on my horses hoof wall?** A: Yes, I think this would work well. Initially I'd flush the cavity out well with the antiseptic used in prep for human sugeries, Dyna-Hex 4. (mix with water and use only once, as it is hard on tissue) **Q: My horse has issues with her frogs. Would this product help ?** A: Hello! It is very hard and sticky so I softened it first at home and scooped a bit into a plastic baggie. I kept it warm in my pocket so that it stayed soft. When I got to my horse I turned the bag so that I could put my hand into the dry side and push the putty into the crack. It worked great. My hand stayed clean and I was able to push the putty well into the crack.
