Review: FINALLY! - THIS IS AMAZING. It is effectively a piece of wood and a hack saw blade, very durable, very easy to use! I have tried every kind of grooming brush on my 8 year old working GSD, (including other farm animal shedding brushes, like a sheep shedder) and nothing before this got that coat cleaned up this easily and this well when he starts shedding heavily. He isn't as long-haired as most GSDs, and all the other brushes/blades are more made for longer coats than he has. I saw this on Girl With The Dogs Youtube channel. She has her own GSD she used it on and seeing it in action, I wanted to try it. And I have to say, I am VERY impressed. My dog has sensitive skin and doesn't like to be brushed so this makes it much easier work! Even in a short time it takes out a lot of undercoat, which is better for him. It cleans up easily, the handle is simple and fits in any hand, though it is not soft/gentle at all. You will need to not press really hard or scrape thin skin with it hard. It doesn't cut a human hand, so if you're reasonable about pressure/repetition it will not injure even a thin coated pet. It will work even on very short coats to remove excess hair, and gets under the guard hairs that make my GSD not tolerate typical brushing well. Bonus, it helps remove fur from carpets/rugs/furniture without damage! (Just wash it between using it on the pet!) I am super excited and very happy. Buy it! It works!!

It doesn't rake his skin, nor pull out attached fur- only the fur that's stuck in limbo between his skin & outer fur. My guy doesn't complain or try to bolt. THIS IS AMAZING. It is effectively a piece of wood and a hack saw blade, very durable, very easy to use! I have 6 cats. Yes 6! 5 of them love the equigroomer and would not let me stop. It does exactly as it says it will and did not disappoint me. It is quality, easy to use, a great size and the handle is easy to grip during use. It is also a cinch to clean. I have short, medium and long haired cats and it works for all. I saw an amazing difference in coat shine and health after just the first use. They all reacted as though a mother cat was bathing them because the teeth are roughly the texture of a cat tongue. My medium haired cat would start nipping at me when I stopped to collect the hairballs coming off his coat. It is a messy job and will make a hairy mess so do it in the bathroom or be prepared to vacuum, dust, lint roll etc wherever you choose to use this tool. It is well worth it! The only cat who rejected this tool is a short haired tabby who was bottle fed from infancy and does not know the joys of being groomed by his mother (I used a little tooth brush when he was little but it is not the same). He is my grumpiest cat so I was not surprised he hated it. He also does not shed or dander like the others and doesn't really need it. Finally it is worth mentioning that I tried it on my suede-ish couch and it works! It is not as good as a vacuum but it did take most of the fur off without damaging the upholstery.
