Gut Guard - Slippery Elm for Dogs, L-Glutamine, Gut Lining

I struggled to help my little dog achieve a happy gut-- after a couple of years of having rescued her, I finally contacted Four Leaf Rover and asked for help. I hadn't known that I could contact them on the fly via chat. The woman who helped me had me give more than the recommended Gut Guard amount as well as a matching amount of the Digestive Enzymes. I practically argued with her over this extreme amount (very expensive for me), but it worked-- and rather quickly. I love knowing that they are available to give wise advice. Beyond that, I have an extremely high regard for Dan Scott-- the founder of both Dogs Naturally and Four Leaf Rover. What a great company! They are truly committed to living up to the words they say. My 5 year old Golden was having repeated problems with diarrhea. She had been perfectly healthy until these episodes started. Vet prescribed Metronidazole. She would be fine while she was on the meds but each time she came off them the diarrhea returned. This went on for 10 weeks. I changed her diet from a good quality kibble to home-cooked lean food. I discovered Gut Guard from reading about it on a web site. I reduced the Metronidazole from 2 doses per day. Then introduced the Gut Guard and reduced her med dosage to once per day for a couple of days. Continuing twice per day with the Gut Guard. No problems for a week now. I intend to use this product twice per day which is a probiotic for several weeks and then switch to once per day. All those antibiotics I think ruined the natural bacteria in my dogs stomach. Now she is doing fine and I am delighted.

I have a 12 year old mix shepherd breed dog that we rescued from the Humane Society. Honestly ... she has been our project. She came to us very vulnerable and mixed up and no matter how many practices we tried to put in place for her, she always reminded us that her life is about her and she's going to do things her way. We've come to respect her boundaries and always try to provide an environment that she feels safe in. Even so, she lives in constant anxiety. And now ... 12 years later ... she has developed auto-immune disorders that have left us scrambling to address them. The challenge is, there is no cure for her dry, bleeding, crusty nose and the colitis, that causes her bowel movements and stool to release a lot of mucus and blood. We've switched her dry kibble diet to a completely home cooked feast. It's about time ... really. She loves it so much more, but there came a time when she could not stomach the food. Mornings were really rough. I would awake at 5am to the sound of her vomiting ...not just once ... but several times until all of the bile in her stomach was released. Needless to say, she could not eat her morning meal until a few hours later when she got some water in her stomach and she emptied her bowels. I was at my whits end. And then I saw an advertisement for Gut Guard. I dove in head first and read everything I could about it on the website and then came to Amazon to read the reviews. I took a chance and hoped to God it would provide the relief I knew she needed to regain her appetite and her health. I am a believer! I have a new dog! It took about a week of putting her recommended serving size in her morning meal and her evening meal to see a turn-around. At first, she would eat a small portion of her morning meal, go outside for while and then come back in and finish her food about two hours later. Now ... she anxiously eats all of her food at once! She may always have a loose, soft stool but at least I know she enjoys eating and she has her appetite back.

It’s working great for my pup. His poops are Always good. That’s what I was looking for.

My dog hates it, I tried to mix it with a bowl of pudding, a bowl of ice cream . I’m just wasting my money at this point she will not eat it at all and it stinks.

The jar I received is a brownish powder and made my pup sick, it did not help his disgestive issues at all. No go for us. I do use other Four Leaf Rover products which are tremendous, just this product did not work for us.

Worked good on my lab but my 2 French bulldogs had horrible breath and really bad gas after 2 weeks.

Very helpful it resolved my dogs yeast issue completely
