Thousands of yoga lovers take teacher training courses each year, hoping to share what they learn with others. Many want to make yoga teaching their full-time career, but most training programs fall short in covering business acumen, and they may not equip graduates with the entrepreneurial skills and savvy they need to make a go of it. This indispensable and inspiring book guides both new and established professionals toward maximizing their impact as teachers and achieving their career goals. Youโll learn to: โข build a loyal student base โข plan dynamic classes โข optimize your own practice โข become more financially stable โข maintain a marketing plan โข use social media effectively โข create a unique brand identity โข inspire even more students to embrace yoga Review: Great book - I got the audio version and took so many notes I just ended up getting the book. While I didn't end up teaching yoga, it has so much great info for business which I do have ...3 actually. (Massage Therapy/Boutique Gym/Pressure Washing) It's so easy to gloss over things when your so busy with the day to day that its nice to have other means and sources to point out other options and ways to get things done. Highly recommend. Review: Must Read for Yoga Teachers - I'm just finishing up my yoga teacher training, and I picked up this book on my own. It covered a lot of ground that YTTs do not - the practical side of the yoga teaching business, how to be true to yourself as a teacher and use your genuine personality and interests to best market yourself, and even justification via yoga literature for getting paid to share yoga with others. It's a quick read, but I expect I will refer to it often. And someday, if I ever offer or are a part of a YTT course, I will definitely include this book!

Great book...Alot to take in and absorb
I've been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years. With COVID and online teaching being at the forefront, I thought it best to update myself about how to teach effectively online and how to do more online promotion. This book is packed with lots of practicable and applicable knowledge. It's alot to take in for someone like me but I'll get where I want to be, online, soon. Also, have taken master classes with this teacher and I highly respect her.

Essential resource for yoga teachers
Amy continues to be an amazing guide on and off the mat. This book serves as the foundation to all yoga practitioners who are transitioning into the business of yoga. Itโs succinctly written, while comprehensively covering the critical components of building your brand and business in a way that keeps the heart of yoga at the center of everything.

A helpful resource for yoga teachers
I have been teaching yoga since 2003 and found quite a bit in this book to be useful information, a different perspective on things and/or things to ponder. I recommend checking it out if you're a yoga teacher. It's an easy, clear read. And the type of book that you can integrate what you think will be useful into what you are already doing. I have already started using some of the suggestions and think it will shift things more positively for me.

Every yoga teacher needs to read this
I had the pleasure of taking class with Amy in person a few years ago. She's one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet. This is why I wanted to buy her book and find out how she runs such a successful business. As a yoga teacher, I've already used several of her business tips and they worked immediately! She has some very creative ideas and smart business strategies. Wonderful book every yoga teacher should read. Thank you, Amy.

and highly recommended. My only regret is that I did not ...
Thank you, thank you, thank you Amy and Taro for writing and sharing this book! It was a very helpful read. I could not put it down! It was very helpful to affirm the things I am doing right to serve my teaching practice as well as to shed light on areas that need improvement. Honest, to the point, outstandingly informative, and highly recommended. My only regret is that I did not read this book three years ago when I began teaching and sharing yoga with others.

Nice but not extraordinary
Things that are given in this book are definitely useful, but most of them are quite obvious. Besides many of social media & advertising advice are destined to expire soon, seeing how quickly technology and trends change. As a yoga teacher I'd suggest to spend time on something more insightful.

Helpful
If only this had been available when I first started teaching! Even after ten years into my career as a Pilates and Yoga teacher, I still found the advice in this book really helpful. Moreover, it took me barely a couple of days to read it from cover to cover, not because it's short, but because the tone and straightforwardness in which it's been written. It felt like what it actually is: a book from two colleagues who mean well to their fellow yoga teachers.

A must read for all yoga teachers and students
I have never come across a book like this which cover's everything an aspiring or experienced yoga teacher should know about the yoga industry. Amy tells it straight with advice from the heart on many subjects from marketing to teacher self-care. I found myself nodding along and agreeing with so much in this book. I've been teaching for seven years I found some great tips and techniques to assist me in my evolution and not get stale. A must read for any teachers in training and I feel this book should go on reading lists for YTT's around the world. After attending an in-person class with Amy this year I can safely say she walks her talk and is one of the best teachers of modern yoga I've come across.

Great book my wife is using it for her yoga teacher certificate. She seems to enjoy it and it is exactly what the course asked for.
