The ones that let the door open a little were a pain because he would just open and slam it so I was looking for something that would keep it completely closed so this worked perfectly! The only thing I would say is a con is that we thought they would work on every type of cabinet and all dimensions but we really had to struggle to get these to work in our kitchen. apparently the lip of the cabinet was too far from the door so they wouldn't close all the way. So we have these on the cabinets they could work on and other solutions on the rest. I would just suggest checking the distance between the cabinet door and frame and asking the dealer if that is ok before ordering these. Our daughter was a busy toddler that got into EVERYTHING running from one cabinet to another opening and exploring. At installation she tried a few times to open the cabinets amd then gave up. We thought it was over. Well within six months we noticed that one by one the adhesive was failing on the locks and she was able to easily open cabinets again. I love these things. They just stick on, so no drilling and no holes in all your cabinets and drawers, but they hold and stick very tight and my kids cannot pull them open. My favorite part is that you can unlock them by flipping the lever, so that when the kids aren't around, they can remain unlocked and not be so bothersome. The installation instructions leave a little to be desired, but once I figured it out on my own, it went smoothly and easily.
