3M Thinsulate is a great insulating product
3M Thinsulate is a great way to help protect someone from cold in products such as boots, jackets, gloves, socks . . . and blankets. I bought the ComfortTech Stratton 3M Thinsulate Blanket to use as a throw blanket on my bed for winter use. It's a premium blanket, moderately light weight, soft beyond belief, not thick at all, and it does its job superbly!A very impressive blanket, and I expect I'll buy one more to keep as a backup for use years down the road.

Best Blanket Ever Owned
I bought this for my wife for her birthday; the best gift ever in her mind. Very warm, very soft, very comfortable. Our biggest issues is whether to use it as a throw or a bed covering. She loves it both ways. She feels even with all the others we have tried, there is no comparison to this blanket. The color, size, weight, softness, and warmth are top shelf. Now, how do we keep the cat from owing this is another problem. I may have to buy another. :-)

Do not underestimate the warmth, but beware the mean sheen!
This is bar none the warmest blanket I have ever owned. It is thinner and lightweight compared to a traditional comforter, but crazy hot. It does not allow any air to circulate through this sandwich of the microscopic woven, hairlike fibered layers, so our bodies are a big "hot water bottle" inside that creates a desirable (sometimes) moist heat. The fuzzy side is super soft and cozy, but if you do get sweaty you will feel itchy from the fleece-like hairs sticking to you. This is certainly not the blankets fault. It does what it is supposed to do. Seriously, do not underestimate this Thinsulate design. My reason for taking off a Star is that it is like a cut velvet look on the light color side and this has a very shiny sheen to it. It does not look like that in the photo. To me, this look does not say "rich and luxurious", but rather a "cheesy Porno Shoot vibe."

incredible softness
This is the 3rd comforttech thinsulate blanket I've bought. I just love these. so soft. so warm. not as warm as a down comforter but warmer than any other blanket I've ever experienced - it is just somehow perfect. and the softness. and they wash well! I have cats and they love these blankets for the same reasons I do - they're warm and soft - so I do end up washing them rather often but they've held up!

Excellent
This blanket is super warm, wonderfully soft to the touch, and seems very sturdy and well made. Well worth the price. I'm back to buy another one and expect that to be all the blankets I'll need for a long time.

Looks more like an ugly 60s 70s Faux fur blanket than something modern from 2015 with thinsulate. I've seen lots of attractive polyester items in this decade. This needs to be advertised as vintage. Has the same creepy feel that they did 40 years ago. Not what expected from the description. I returned it. Expect vintage faux fur not modern fabric if you order it.

I washed the blanket once I received and it unthreaded at each seamed spot on surface. I couldn't believed it! Also it had a build up of filling on one side after wash. I followed directions but …. This is my second one I have purchased. Its extremely warm winter months.

Nice, lightweight, and warm
The blanket is soft, lightweight, warm, and lovely to look at. However, the lay of the "fur" causes the blanket to work its way across the bed while sleeping. This is especially true if you have another blanket on the bed along with this one.
