Future comparisons may be available as a number of rechargeable lamp/bug lamps were purchased for that purpose. Sahara Sailor has excellent flash and camp lights - tiny lamps in the bug zapper part but a runtime of 30 hours on one charge. It's effectiveness for mosquitoes/no see ums has not yet been tested against others, but plenty of opportunity is forthcoming at my remote mountain location. -Looks like best use is in RV, camper and tent. Waterproof! Nice!

I got this product mainly for the zapping of bugs which it does quite admirably. Sadly I discovered that the device was not as admirable at flying and after it got launched off a second storey deck the main flashlight had sheared off. Superglue has sufficed to mate both pieces back together. Even after leaving the lamp out in the middle of a rainstorm the zapper and lantern features continue to work.

I like how the battery last a long time.and i can enjoy the outdoors without pest bitting my wife.

Very well thought out as far as the lights go. Will have to see how well the bug zapper goes as it's my primary concern - otherwise a flashlight and lantern could be much cheaper/smaller/lighter body so would make it moot if the zapper doesn't work. Will try it out on the balcony and see if it at least works when right near me or if I'm still a better lure for mosquitoes.Minor gripes:- Came with a little cleaning brush but nowhere to put it. It's tiny so will be easy to lose when stored separately unless I take the mental energy to keep track of it and remember to bring it (assuming I don't want to carry bug corpses back with me)- Less of an issue still but as with most electronics, there's nowhere for the charging cable.

Great camping light that has multiple ways of attaching to your tent. The bug zapper does work but really not great for a small tent for obvious reasons...
