The best plainer for the money!!
Works nicely! It is loud, but I have never seen a machine that does this hard of a job this quickly or smoothly that it doesn't make a lot of noise. It draws the wood easily into and through the machine, the finish it leaves is remarkably smooth. The width is sufficient for many of my projects for wider ones I do it is sections and join them together after. All in all, a very nice machine that does a very good job!

Great Planer for the Price
Planing within 5 minutes of unboxing. Lots of warnings not to run end-grain boards through. Noted, but...I bought this to plane end-grain cutting boards. Was able to plane down 6 cutting boards in less than an hour. Couple things that worked for me - go very slow with the cutting - like, quarter turns for each pass so that it's just taking a very small amount of wood each time. Also I watched a tube video that suggested you bevel the back edge of the board to a 45-degree to help with chipping. that worked really well. Overall very happy with the purchase and quality.

Great planer
Ready to go right out of the box! It's a great tool! The price was right, the product is well made and it does a great job planing wood. Highly recommend it.

For the price, this is very functional benchtop thickness planer.
I don't have much room in my garage for standing equipment, so I need benchtop equipment that is easy to move and store. So far, this thickness planer works well for me. But it does have a flaw that I can't adjust out - snipe! I get 2" of snipe on the infeed and 2" of snipe on the outfeed no matter how I adjust the feed tables. I solved this problem by simply hot gluing thin 1/4" sacrificial runners that extend 2.5" in front and behind the start and ending piece of whatever piece of wood that I am working - the runners take the snipe and my material runs through just fine. For the price of this machine, the added time to hot glue up some runners is not a problem for me - the finished thickness plane is perfect and true.

I needed a thickness planer and this one is great.
I was looking for a budget friendly thickness planer to clean up some wood that has been sitting around and has a lot of surface weathering. Very low learning curve and was playing with it and learning the best way to use it in less than a half hour or taking it out of the box and setting it up. More than I wanted to spend but money well spent.

I’d buy more Wen products
Another great Wen product. Small shop and I use it a lot.

Smooth finish
This is my first bench planer. Came with blade changing tools and a port for a dust collector / vacuum. I processed some de-nailed pallet boards through it and was impressed with the finished product. Some of the boards had gouges so it took a few passes while lowering the cutting height. Once finished, the planer produced very a uniform and smooth finish. Seems to have adequate power and doesnt bog down. However I was careful to plane small sections with each pass not forcing it to cut too much at a time. For the money it seems like a very solid unit. I feel itll be perfect for me to learn on. Additionally I feel if one takes care of it and doesnt abuse the planer, itll provide many years of service.

Very good product for the cost!
Out of the box, it worked fine. Did everything I needed to do. I played with it for a little bit making some passes until I could get used to how it operates, but it’s very smooth. It does a great job. It’s a good goodbye for the money.

Trabaja excelente
