Super easy and fix the problem! Material is hard metal and my sofa is a bit hard to zip with the cushion. The original zipper broke and this zipper head fit it in one try.

This is an easy, effective fix for repairing a garment you want to keep using. Some zippers are very difficult to repair, and this product helps solve that problem without much hassle. The only downside is the small locking bar on the bottom of the zipper handle—it’s a bit pointy and can occasionally poke your finger. You could file it down, but it would be better if the manufacturer offered a smoother version. Overall, I recommend this product if you want to save a favorite hoodie or similar item. Note: Make sure to order the correct size/type for your zipper by following the manufacturer’s guidelines, or it won’t work properly.

I was skeptical. At first, I could not open/unsnap/separate the zipper with my pliers when I removed it from the cardboard packaging it came on. But then I used the instructional video and realized all I had to do is flip the zip tag back to pinch it open for starters. Well that was easy! Then when I attempted to snap the zipper in place, I had to press hard the entire zipper clasp not just the tag to secure it in place. It worked, but in the wrong direction. So after I reopened the snap zipper, and readjusted the direction I had it on my coat, the ZlideOn zipper works beautifully. I didn’t have to remove the metal clamp/stopper at top of the zipper on coat. I was able to just add at the top of my coat and it zips down and open!! I am able to rezip close with ease. (Now the real test of wearing it and using it to see how long this lasts.) I hope it doesn’t unsnap while in use. But seems to take quite a bit of pressure to make the zipper open/unsnap. Definitely watch the instructional QR code video provided for installation. Once I tried it, it is an easy install. It definitely took me a few minutes to figure it out but not long. Hope this was helpful. Would recommend it.

Very quick to snap on, and works great! Initially, I was looking to hire someone to replace the zipper, but I'm so glad I found this product. It is so easy. Just make sure you get the right type and size of zipper, based on the chart given in one of the photos of the listing. There was a 5 on the back of my original zipper puller, and I could tell from the pictures that it was the plastic version. So, the Plastic (L) worked for what I needed. I took a couple of pictures after it was on. (Not sure why it looks shiny like its metal in the pictures, but I got the black color zipper pull) The toughest part though was to take the other zipper puller off. I actually put this ZlideOn zipper pull replacement on first, and then figured if I wasn't able to take off the other zipper puller, I could deal with it, and just not be able to pull my zipper puller all the way to the top. However, if you have the right tools, you can get the original zipper puller off easier. As pictured, I tried the cutter tool on the right first, and that did not work well. I found that I had the other cutter on the left (not sure what it is called), but it worked much better to get the original zipper puller off. It still took a little bit to get off, but I got it off.

This is a great product. Our zipper broke off of our couch cushion and we used this product to replace the zipper and be able to close the zipper track. Seems very high quality and worked super well.

I got this to fix my son's jacket slider. It was very easy to install (and snap back open to readjust - counter to some other reviews). It was a little stiff to slide once locked but managed to make a completely non-functional zipper work again. The slider worked for ~2 months before loosening up too much to keep the zipper functioning. Detatching and reattaching it did not seem to change it so I assume the moveable mechanisms (that allow this to attach without being sewn on) are just easier to wear down than a regular slider. Oh well - I'll probably try a slider replacement that requires sewing or cutting the top stopper off next but at least that got me through the coldest part of the winter. The main value of these simple slider replacements seems to be as a temporary fix. Perhaps keeping a few on hand when you're travelling in case one of your zippers starts malfunctioning. I was hoping for a more permanent solution but am not surprised that this didn't last. At the $10-15 price point this is definitely cheaper than replacing the entire jacket but probably more expensive than I want to spend every 2 months to keep a worn jacket working (compared with a more labor-intensive, but also more permanent fix).

Will need to return this but am bummed. It’s a brilliant idea with helpful videos on YouTube but I should have looked further to see that it doesn’t work when you have a two part zipper. It doesn’t line up with the bottom half. Even tried flipping it upside down (to make it the bottom half) and it still doesn’t line up. Removing the bottom half doesn’t help either because there’s nothing to hold the bottom of the zipper shut, so my coat just unzips itself from the bottom up. Thankfully this product can be unlatched easily (see that YouTube video first! It’s not what you think!). Sadly I will have to send it back and have my zipper replaced altogether. It’s my favorite coat though. :(
