Missing screw
There is no screw as stated in the description...... "equipped with 1/4" to 3/8" screw" So, be sure to get one before product arrives. I haven't had a chance to get it yet, but it does seem to work properly giving proper direction. Not too lightweight, but comfortable in the palm of your hand. The owner has attempted to ask my opinion, but we're just having difficulty trying to understand each other. It's not a big deal the screw isn't included, but I asked the owner to eliminate that wording from the description for better clarity.

Cool compass
Cool compass for trekking pole feature. Also makes for a good piece of PPE for trail wackos or bears.

Perfect knobs for trekking poles
These are perfect for my trekking poles. I like the addition of the compass. They are a good size and are well constructed.

A joke
Unnecessary heavy that is about the weight. For this little item is very heavy. And the compass is a joke. I attached the knob to my hiking pole, went on a hike, and checked the accuracy every once in a while. It stopped rotating completely around the 4-mile mark. No matter what I did. No matter how I tried to level it. It was not moving. I returned it. I do not suggest this item to anybody. Not for the weight/comfort nor for a toy compass in it.

Machined threads in knob are 1/4"
As advertised, except 'not sure what the 3/8" figure mentioned in the ad I saw refers to...
