Gorgeous, works unbelievably well IF you install it right.
I own an acupuncture clinic with big windows in front. I wanted to add a little bit of privacy on a side window facing a dry cleaner while still letting in light, and this fit the bill. You CAN install this with no "bubbles" and no problems with the adhesive being "ruined". Clean the window completely first. including the frame. Then simply get a spray bottle and fill it with a mixture of maybe a teaspoon of baby shampoo and water. I dumped a windex bottle in a bowl, emptied the sprayer by triggering it until empty, then used the baby shampoo solution. Spray the heck out of the window and it. Both sides, so it doesn't stick to itself. Then you simply put it up while brushing towards the side with a credit card.I took a craft knife to the initial edge on one side, and cut it just slightly smaller than the window - not noticeable unless you're looking for it specifically. Smoothed it over to the other edge, and trimmed the other edge as well. (The top and bottom have about an 8 inch gap - this is what I wanted.) Don't be afraid to pull it back off and reapply, but be liberal with the solution. The credit card WILL squeegee most of the solution out from in back, and this WILL try it out surprisingly fast. It took me a couple tries to trim the second side to not overlap the window edge. If it does overlap, it WILL peel back. Also one top edge required a few tries to get it to stick - really work the corners and edges to make it sticky if this happens.

Very good product
I followed the video instructions on the website of Gila. Very good instructions there, but be prepared for some tedious steps to ensure your application is successful. The first piece I tried didn't adhere because right before I placed it on the window, I accidentally dragged the dampened film across a nearby surface and picked up some sand and dust. The rice paper look is really pretty and offers wonderful privacy.

Kinda pricey, but worth it
We live in a development where the fences are at the back of the house. That means windows that anyone can walk up to and look in. Yeah, I do not like that. This is not my first rodeo with Gila. It can be difficult the first time. I opt for the over size install with trimming later. I have tried to cut to fit and it is just impossible. Separating the film from the backing is a little hard, but just use two pieces of tape, one on each side at 90 degree angle to each other. Simple to then pull apart. Look at pic. One piece stick to front, one to back. Two people make this much easier. Here is my trick for one person. I also find it helpful to add tape to separate further down. I start on a flat surface with the film down and backing up and separate to the line. Then I trim the backing at the dotted line. I spray and adhere the top part to the window and hold to the frame with some blue painters tape. Then I remove the rest of the backing, spray the window and adhere.

Looks great, but won’t stick to bathroom window
We’ve had this brand of privacy film in our bathroom before, but not this specific kind. We’re finding that after we take a shower or bath that the film starts peeling off. We’ve redone the installation several times, clean the window, use the manufacturer’s spray product, but still falls off. Disappointing.

Crap, crap, crap
Have used this company for years and have never had a problem, but the last two times I’ve tried to use this particular brand didn’t matter what paper it was it has peeled back on me, rolled gotten too sticky. I don’t know what they’ve done with their product, but it has changed and I will never use it again.

Gives you privacy without losing sunlight.
I love this stuff! You definitely want to read the directions on how to install it. It was kind of a pain and frustrating at times. But! It was worth the struggle. It's held up perfectly for close to a year now. It works perfectly for giving us some privacy without losing sunlight. And it looks pretty! *update 12/2015* I've now had this installed for several years and it's still holding up wonderfully! My windows have even had wet consideration on top of the film during the winter time and it still holds in place! I've had one little corner peel up, but I gusted used a glue to put it back down. Glue probably wasn't the best choice, but it was driving me crazy that it wouldn't stay down, and I don't ever plan to take the film off my windows, so glue did the job.

Too thin and won’t cling
Very disappointed in this product. I have used rice paper window film from a different company and it was easier to handle and stayed up better. I cannot return as it is cut, but to keep it up I used clear tape on the edges which is ridiculous. The product is too thin to cling and also is sticky on the side facing the glass so hard to move around. Also, to meet the window size, I had to pay extra for the inch or so resulting in a lot of unused product. Not good value and poor quality for use on windows.

Pretty and resilient if you install it right
I installed this on two windows -- one in the kitchen and one in the living room, both facing the street (I live in a city, and my choice was privacy and blinds down all the time, or sharing my life with everyone passing by these two windows). I did a great job (followed instructions and all) on the big living room window, and several years later, the film is still in place, and it still looks great. I got cocky and a bit sloppy on the kitchen window. To be fair, the same edges that didn't stick at first (I didn't completely do it right since I decided following the same steps is for the weak) are still loose (clear tape is your friend for that), but it didn't get worse. In both cases, the windows still let in a fair amount of light, and it looks very nice (there's a nice, low-key elegance to these that you can't achieve with blinds). On top of that, the privacy film is a LOT easier to clean than blinds.

I have two cupboards that have glass panel doors. I don’t necessarily want anybody to see my clutter inside the cabinets so I covered them with this rice paper it is fabulous! It’s easy to apply, sticks really well and looks beautiful when it’s on.

have used this product several times in the past and it's super for adding some removable 'opaqueness' to windows or cabinet doors etc. make sure the windows are squeaky clean. the application is the hardest part to get right but the end result is excellent.

It’s ok, not as good as the window film purchased from another supplier. Product was light weight and tended to stretch easily which resulted in a lot of air bubbles. Does the job for now but wouldn’t buy from this supplier again.

I was installing a large panel 76X28 inches. Difficult to install as this is too big. I can see that it would be easier with a smaller panel. Also in some areas (especially corners) the adhesive was not too good. Looks OK but not perfect.
