One of the most insightful Patanjali Yoga sutra books. It asks you the reader to ask yourself very pointed questions on how to apply a particular sutra to your modern day life. That's what these teachings are all about. How do we live, reflect and move in the world?? Are we living our our truths? Are we becoming more of who we want to be each day? What is the state of our consciousness and what affects that + or -? Great book if you want to do more than read the yoga sutras. Live it!

This translation and interpretation of Patañjali's Yoga Sutra is one that remains true to the intent, but presented in a way that the modern western reader can comprehend. My only sadness is that the copy I got is a First Indian edition and does not have the same quality as the original edition, which is now out of print.
