BigXwell Heavy-Duty Solar Pool Cover 6x6ft - 16Mil Blue

This is the second time purchasing the BigXwell Solar Pool Cover, and I continue to be impressed by its performance. We have an above-ground pool, and after using this cover for the first season, I decided to buy another for this year due to how well it worked in heating the pool and reducing water evaporation. The 16-mil thickness provides excellent durability while still allowing for optimal sunlight absorption. The blue color not only looks great against the water but also helps to trap heat, raising the water temperature significantly, which is perfect for extending our swim season, especially during cooler evenings and mornings. The cover is very sturdy and seems durable. Time will tell how long it will last but I am pleased with it right now. It rolls smoothly on the reel and has done a good job keeping the water temperature up during cool nights. It was more expense than I have paid for a cover, but if it lasts more than a summer it will be worth the cost.

Works great by losing only 5 degrees Fahrenheit during Florida winter overnights. Very durable, quality material. For a medium or larger sized pool, a roller on / off device is a must. For hot tubs and spas, it’s easy to apply and takeoff manually. Easy to cut to size but do so slowly and with help.

Original one worked great for 1 1/2 years until it wore out under normal use. Tried replacing with a similar, cheaper blanket, which didn't work well. So, I purchased this one again. Overall, it works well. While several advertised blankets talk about "heavy duty", and 16 mil - this blanket performs better than most. This is a good choice if you can't locate a closed-foam type blanket. Will purchase again. (pictured is old blanket and new one).

So upset we didnt do more research on pool covers earlier. Our pool has no gas heater so it relies on an electric heater and/or solar. For the first 2 years, we were using the pool cover included with the pool build; it didnt do much so our electricity bills, even with solar, could be astronomical when trying to heat the pool and/or spa. Before this summer, our original pool cover tore with high winds so I went to ChaGPT for guidance on buying a new cover and it essentially directed me to this type of cover. It has NOT disappointed. If anything, it has done too good a job cause the pool would get warmer than we would want. With the pool civer aline during the summer (So Cal), the pool water could get in the mid-high 80s/lower 90s.

We've had our pool for a decade now. This is the best solar cover Ive ever bought. Its very well made.

Is what it is. Not much to it. Seems to keep the pool warmer and not too difficult to cover/uncover.

Great product. The only thing is I ordered for a 12 diameter and received a 14 foot diameter. Had to cut to fit my 12 foot pool

Very thick and stiff should last longer than the flimsy ones. Cut easily with scissors to a perfect fit. Cheaper solution than ordering from manufacturer, just brought separate straps and installed myself. Now my swim spa has a thick summer cover which won’t bunch up when self clean jets come on.
