I wanted something simple to help protect my cat from fleas and ticks, and this was easy to apply. The application process was straightforward and didn’t take much time. I like that it provides ongoing protection without having to constantly worry about treating my cat. Good product to keep on hand for regular flea and tick prevention.

Love this for my dog. It's waterproof, fast-acting, and easy to use. It's long-lasting and comes from a trusted formula, so I feel good about applying it month after month. Best of all, it breaks the flea cycle and kills eggs and larvae, making this an effective flea treatment all around.

Bought this as one of my cats was having some skin irritation (never saw fleas or flea dander) It is easy application behind the shoulder blades and stopped whatever was causing his itching. It doesn't cause any burning or skin irritation on it's own (at treatment site). I can't detect any smell when I apply it. Every flea treatment is hit or miss with cats, and people complain about the weirdest things, as if these spot on treatments are supposed to radiate some noxious "force" that keeps fleas away.Yes, you're going to see more scratching on the cat after putting this on it. The poison irritates and excites the fleas until they die. This also means 1) you MIGHT see a stronger presence of fleas because they're not expertly hiding deep in the fur or under the armpits or where they usually aren't seen at all, given that their systems are out of whack, and 2) the fleas become more aggressive and bite more, leading to more irritation on the pet.Not only that, but some felines are just flat out allergic to this stuff, and so you take a risk when you go buy things yourself instead of going to a vet.Finally, yes, this product may stop working--fleas build immunity to things just as any other living creature builds immunity to things. Life will always find a way, and this directly targets critical life stages of the flea. When fleas may lay QUITE a lot of eggs in its lifetime, even at 0.01% survival rate, that's more than enough for millions of fleas in a few weeks. You need to switch up your flea medication from time to time. There's a reason doctors will switch up your antibiotics if you have to take a bunch of those.Anyway, this stuff is pretty effective, but it loses 1 star because I'm not convinced yet that this actually fully penetrates the fatty layer in the cat and stays active for a whole month. It seems like after 2 weeks to 18 days or so, it's done. I know this because I've removed fleas at various days with a comb off my cat to see how effective these things tend to be over time. Within the first 2 weeks, all fleas I caught were just dead when I went go check on them later after getting them together. After 3 weeks (21 days), though, every flea was still perfectly fine.Also, my cat gets pretty itchy from irritation after I put it on her. HOWEVER, I ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AS MY CAT'S OWN PERSONAL SENSITIVITY TO IT. She's sensitive to ALL of the spot treatments because it's literally "the skin is absorbing and storing poison."I personally use this flea treatment program to kill fleas:1) Put on spot treatment2) Pop in a Capstar the same day, same time as spot treatment3) Spread food grade diatomaceous earth around the house. Sprinkle some so you get blotches all over the floor, then sweep it all in4) Spray down the baseboards with a house spray (about 3-4 bottles total to really saturate the base boards)5) Vacuum every 3 days, laundry same time (whatever I wear and whatever the cats have gotten on)6) Spray sofa and cat sleeping areas every 5 daysTakes 3 weeks of aggressive work, but they'll be gone before the month is over. I live in the Deep South in a poorly sealed trailer with a giant tree and a lake nearby; you bet I'm getting fleas every single spring and summer.

Not gonna lie, this is easy to use and it actually kills flea larvae and ticks. It lasts a long time and the trusted formula feels solid. It breaks the flea cycle and lasts up to 6 months. It's waterproof too, so baths and rain don't mess with it. Overall, I'm really happy with this for my dog.

I got this when I noticed my cat scratching a bit more than usual and the occasional flea. I applied it and it seemed to help at first but after about a week I noticed his scratching had gotten a bit worse and the fleas started popping up more often. I ended up having to get some prescription strength stuff (nexguard) and flea and tick spray for the house because after a while it was pretty clear this stuff was not very effective. Didn't have health or safety issues and application is very easy.

Works great, good price, no side effects, or irritation

This is the first time I’ve used PetArmor Plus. I usually use Fronline Plus for dogs. This is cheaper, and I have many pets. So, I thought I’d try it. I also used Frontline Plus for dogs, on my cats. I never had a problem. It’s always worked well on both species with no side effects (both Frontline Plus for dogs and Frontline Plus for cats have the same ingredients...some flea meds for dogs cannot be used on cats, and vice versa, because of certain ingredients being dangerous for one or the other). This product is supposed to have the same ingredients as Frontline Plus for dogs. But, I can’t find any feedback yet on people using it on their cats, like they do with the Fronline Plus for dogs. So, I might wait a bit before trying it on my cats, too. It’s cheaper to buy this way and use on dogs and cats instead of buying separately for each species. I found out this little trick from several animal rescue sites that buy packages for large dogs and divide doses depending on weight. You have to know the correct dosage to give and use a capped vial and a syringe (without needle). So, don’t just start doing it without having correct info. As for my dogs, it has been about 2 1/2 weeks on PetArmor Plus, and it seems to be working still. It did take a few days to kill off all their fleas. But, I’d ran out of flea meds, and my pets had fleas when I put this product on them. They usually do not miss monthly doses. So, they haven’t been without it in the past, and probably didn’t have fleas at the time of each monthly treatment. A few fleas got in my house while they were not treated. Pets are doing ok now, and I haven’t seen any fleas. But, it is early November in NC. It’s been cold, but not really cold. It still gets up to upper 50’s often, and low 60’s on occasion, and gets down to upper 40’s. It’s only got into 30’s a few times. Not as many fleas are hanging around outside. But, fleas have not been killed out by freezing temps yet this season. Overall, I think it seems to be working pretty well. I’m giving 4 ⭐️ since it seemed to take a few days to get rid of fleas. Frontline Plus works quicker. I will continue to use this because of cost-effectiveness if it holds up. I hope to find feedback on giving it to cats soon, too. 😉Update: it is end of February 2019, we are getting many days of 60 degree weather again. So, we’ve been seeing some fleas here and there, here in NC. This product lasts about 3 weeks, give or take...not quite a whole month. Indoor environment is always warm. Obviously, fleas like warm environments. So, we’ve had to continue giving this because of somewhat mild winter. I didn’t have to give this in January. But, I began again beginning of Feb. I also decided to try this on my cats since Frontline Plus for dogs also works on cats. Both my cats seem to do fine (and have received 2 doses of this so far), like they did with the Frontline Plus for dogs. So, I am able to give this to them, too, without having to buy a separate kind for cats. Again, know your dosing if you decide to do this. I don’t like that this product is quite a bit more oily in the fur, and takes longer to dry than Frontline Plus. The oilyness seems to go away within 24+ hours...not as quickly as Frontline, but I can deal with it. I have 2 chihuahuas that will groom each other, and try to clean it off. I have to keep them separated the day I put this on them (as I did with any other flea med). If they lick it off and ingest it, it will make them sick. So, make sure to keep any pets, that like to groom each other, separated the first day of application. This is why it is supposed to be placed on back of neck, so your pet cannot reach it and lick it off. It will make them sick, as will other flea/tick meds. I have learned these tricks from animal rescue sites. I am not a vet. I’m just sharing how it’s worked for me and my pets.Update: end of Sept. 2019-this stuff has consistently gotten worse with every month. I see less and less effectiveness every month since I started using it. It has continually gotten worse with each month that has passed. June and July was a little bad. Ikeptfibding fleas here and there. But, August and Sept have been the worst after application. It hasn’t helped the cat outside at all. (He was a stray that I give this to for relief. It doesn’t help him. He still has a lot of fleas all the time. It seems to help for a few days to a week at most. Even then, I see him scratching often. My inside dogs are still getting fleas. It did seem to get rid of fleas within a few days after application. But, each month, I would notice more fleas getting on them, and they’d bring them in the house and they would get on my cat, who does not go outside at all. In August, this stuff only worked less than 2 weeks on my pets who live indoors and only go out to potty in our fenced in yard or take walks. When I gave it in August, I noticed it never did completely kill the fleas. I keep finding fleas on each of them. I have to comb them with a flea comb every few days to make sure they don’t get bad. Most of my 4 dogs would usually have 1 or 2 fleas when I’d comb them. But, my dog with long fur had 10-12 last time I combed him, which is a lot. That is not good enough for me. When your pets keep bringing in fleas, they get in your home. Before you know it, they start feeding on us, then get in the carpet, start laying eggs, and hatching more fleas if you’re not careful. I added a pic of my feet that got bit up by fleas a couple weeks ago, because the pets just keep having more and more on them. I haven’t went anywhere or been outside for any period longer than 5 minutes. This happened one night. I noticed itsitting here on the couch. I like to sit here undera blanket. My 2 chihuahuas always get under the covers and lay at my feet. A flea must have jumped off one of them, and decided I was it’s next meal. I looked up flea bites online, which look like the bites on my feet. It’s effectiveness of this stuff had just went downhill all summer. At the height of flea season, which is August and Sept, you don’t want to be using flea prevention that doesn’t work. I gave it 10 months...most people don’t do that. I won’t purchase this again. I’ll be going back to Frontline Plus.
