Well, each piece sits in a slot. Invert it and they simply fall out. So, to show a position from Black's perspective, you'd have to initially place the Black pieces at the bottom. No need to turn the board over.

Be creative. Picture hangers (use 3) usually work, but kids may pull it down forcing some pieces in. I suggest hanging it on a sturdy support using the strings attached to the board
