Have used this soft brush/mesh spong for about 6 weeks and it is an excellent purchase. Quality is very good. After over 20 showers it looks as good as new. I am 5' 6" tall, and for me it is the perfect size.

This is NOT a scrub brush. Bristles and pad are very soft, so soft, you can hardly feel them. Great for applying disinfecting soapy water or lotion to highly sensitive, damaged, or healing skin. Not for rough scrubbing. I have venous stasis ulcers on my lower legs. This means that the skin surface is so thin that mild scraping, rubbing, or abrasion can break the shin and cause bleeding. Until I found this brush, I could only pour soapy water over the wound least I do damage. As I said, this brush is so soft, you can hardly feel it. It is absolutely prefect for this use. I imagine that it is also good for burn wounds too. As I see it, the description is wrong. For "normal" skin, it is not a body brush, it does not exfoliate, It is not a back scrubber. It fails on all those accounts.

Love this brush!! In some of the reviews people said that the brush was too short, I am 5’4”. The brush is perfect for me, but I could see if you are much taller the brush would not work as well for you. I had shoulder surgery and was looking for a brush to be able to wash like a washcloth. I read a lot of reviews about how to shower when unable to use one of your arms. I purchased a pump soap and it works so well and lathers so good with this shower, body brush. The pumpkin sponge is just perfect. It’s soft but yet holds it shape as you’re scrubbing. Then on the other side is the soft bristle brush. I do highly recommend this brush, but if you’re wanting firm bristles, this would not be the brush for you.

The loofah sponge lathers and applies a body wash well. However, the brush head should be bigger, and most importantly, the bristles need to be longer. Although the bristles are soft, they are too short and are easily pressed down when you brush, so you don't feel the bristles, but rather feel a hard plastic piece, when you brush. The 14 inch length of this brush is fine for me because I brush downward from above when I clean my upper back, and brush upward from below when I clean my middle back. I have another shower brush (its bristles are longer so I feel its soft bristles when I brush) whose 17 inch length sometimes resulted in the brush handle end hitting my bathtub glass shower wall.

Loofa side is nice and soft. No complaints!

This is in my zen den now. So cozy and inviting. Great for napping or reading
