Hybrid Cocktail Shaker, Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel, 28 oz

This is the fourth cocktail shaker that I purchased on my quest for the perfect cocktail shaker. It is by far and away the best that I have tried. This is an honest review and I was not paid or compensated to write it. I genuinely want this company to succeed and make more products. Here's what I love: 1) Measurements - The measuring cap is extra large which allows for many different volumes of liquid to be measured. This seems like a simple thing but if you need 4 oz of something you often times have to pour twice. With this extra large cap you only have to pour once. The actual places in the cap you have to measure to is not super intuitive, but they included a nice little coaster that shows exactly where all the measurements are, so if you ever forget you can just refer to it. 2) Screw Together - I don't know why no one else has created a screw on cocktail shaker as this is clearly the best design. The screw is quick and easy and prevents any leaks. It also allows you to not have to strain your hand on the cap while you're shaking. This seems like a simple thing, but it makes creating cocktails so much easier. Also it's allowed me to blend the drinks better. I like to make whiskey sours with egg whites. Not having to worry about the cap popping off, you can shake and make very well blended and fluffy egg white cocktails. Not only does this cocktail shaker make making the cocktails easier, but it also makes better cocktails. 3) Strainer - it is built right into the cap making it super easy to pour the drinks. The strainer cap has a sharp-ish lip which prevents any dribbles. 4) Washer Machine - I don't like to hand wash things and the gaskets on this shaker are easily removed for dishwashing. They say it's completely dishwasher safe but it may increase wear and tear on the shaker. If I just hand wash the gaskets I don't think any additional wear and tear will be an issue as almost the entire thing is stainless steel (small mat on bottom). The only thing I don't love about this cocktail shaker is the feeling of the metal on metal when screwing it together. The caps also don't line up perfectly centered due to the large thread pattern and gaskets. At first I thought this was a flaw in my shaker, but it's actually better this way. The threads are extra large intentionally so you don't have to spend a bunch of time screwing the cap on and off. A quick twist is all you need to seal and unseal the shaker. All things considered, this item is amazing. I would absolutely and without a doubt buy this again and recommend it to all my friends.

I love, love, love this shaker. It is insulated like the popular drink cups with double stainless type walls. The best thing is that you can shake it and shake it and shake it and your hands don't get cold because of the double walls. Besides that, the top is a measuring cup that's marked off in 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, 3 oz, 4 oz, 5 oz and 6 oz if you fill it to the rim. You can mix your drink right inside the top with no need to clean up a separate jigger or measuring cup. You can just rinse it out and empty it so it's super easy to clean. It is great quality and heavy duty metal - not whimpy thin stuff. The lid and the top part of rubber rings to make the seal tight. The first time I used it, I made the mistake of tightening the top too tight and had a bit of trouble with the top sticking and couldn't get it open. I learned that you don't have to tighten it super tight - just lightly hand tighten and it will still seal up properly and not leak. It is plenty big enough to make two good size martinis which is fine for most purposes. I do wish they made a larger size one but I like to entertain and make more than two martinis at a time. This is fine for most everyone I'm sure. It can easily hold 10 oz and ice with plenty of air space for shaking.

Love that you can measure with the lid, it’s heavy, lid doesn’t fly off, well worth the money!

Edit: I originally docked two stars because the shaker would leak like crazy and was difficult to open. It appears that mine was an exception. I stopped using my shaker, and after two years, I was ready to toss it since I felt guilty donating a leaky product. On a whim, I reached out to customer service to see if they might be willing to help me, and they did! They sent me a brand new shaker for free and gave me a return label to mail my old shaker back. The new shaker has a perfect seal and is much easier to open than the old one, so I can only assume that some part of the old one - probably the upper section with the measuring indicators - was slightly out of spec and didn't connect properly to the other parts. Whatever the case, the shakers they're selling as of 2024 don't seem to have the same issue. I now highly recommend this shaker! Original review: I bought this after hearing about it from a colleague and was very excited about it. It seemed like a more efficient solution for mixing drinks and I really wanted to love it, but after using it for about eight months I’m regretting our purchase. We have two main issues with it. The most serious one is that it leaks. It was fine on the first use, but after a few more I started to notice small amounts of liquid seeping out from the small lid while measuring. It’s now reached the point where as soon as I pour something in, I instantly have a puddle underneath it. As a result I can no longer use the top to measure out ingredients, making what was once its biggest benefit - and a huge part of why I bought it - completely useless. The other issue is how difficult it can be to open. The smooth, stainless steel finish looks great, but trying to unscrew the top from the bottom can be extremely difficult as there’s nothing to grip with your hands. I have no problem opening stubborn jar lids that are too tight for my wife to open, but I routinely struggle with this shaker. Maybe a replacement seal will fix the leak, but I’m about to use it again for a cocktail and am somewhat dreading it (hence the urge to leave a review).

I bartended back in the day and this wouldn't be good for that application, as it takes time to assemble, disassemble and clean. But for the home bartender, this is ideal. Very well fabricated. You must hand wash and dry. Screwing the pieces together takes some "attention" but it makes cocktail pouring easy. The interior has measuring lines, in 1 oz increments, no shot glasses needed. The rubber gasket makes it leak proof. And, it's insulated, which is either a good thing, or not. Again, when serving in a bar, you want to be sure you have shaken and chilled it adequately, by the coolness felt on the shaker. Superior construction, would highly recommend. I hope that the seals are replaceable through the manufacturer, if needed.

Let's cut to the chase - this thing is expensive! There are numerous options out there that cost a fraction of the price of this thing. What I like about this is that your hand never becomes uncomfortably cold while shaking. What I don't like about this is that your hand never becomes uncomfortably cold while shaking. Don't the above statements cancel each other out? Maybe. The cold factor actually helps the person shaking know when to stop shaking and provides insights into the dilution taking place in the shaker. The double walls prevent this intimate knowledge from being more obvious. What NEVER happens with this style shaker though, is the top getting stuck on so tight you need shop tools to remove it. The threaded tops twist on and off with ease, and THAT is why we reach for this one over the others that suction in place and make you feel weak and helpless when attempting to take them apart. These are well made, easy to clean, do not spot or stain, and make less noise. Would buy again, but, sheeeesh, they are expensive which is where the 4 stars come into play.

I love martinis and have bought so many different cocktail shakers over the years, and this is by far the best one I’ve ever bought! It keeps everything cold, is easy to use, and it's very well made. This is also the perfect gift for anyone who likes martinis or mixed cocktails.

TWO YEAR REVIEW This is a stellar shaker and the best I’ve owned. The build quality is excellent, and after plenty of use and abuse it’s still going strong. Ergonomics The ergonomics and balancing are perfect for either a single or double handed shake. It always feels excellent. Thickness I love how the insulated design gifts this a bit of heft. Pour Pours like a dream with using the strainer or open pour. This is where the balancing of the design really shines. No ‘Cold Feel’ It really bothers some people that the insulated design means you can’t feel how cold the contents are. I get that but a. Mixing by ‘temp feel’ is not really the way to mix and b. Every single second you feel the cold on your hands with a standard shaker means that the chilled contents are getting warmer and any ice is melting faster on longer shakes that some recipes require. Kinetic energy is already making things warmer during the shake. Why help it out with a thin metal body that even the heat of your hands are helping to warm the contents. Bravo folks. Love this shaker.

Very well made and a really good size. Great for multiple espresso martinis. easy to clean. Bit expensive but no regrets.

So many reasons why this is the best: screw-on lid is easy to put on and take off and silicone seal means there are no leaks; top of lid has a silicone sealed cap which also screws on and off; there are both Imperial and Metric measurement lines in the lid/cap; the entire shaker is double walled so your hands are insulated against the cold; it easily holds enough for two cocktails. Do not be deterred by the cost (admittedly higher than all others), as this shaker will become your go-to. It is extremely well made, and I anticipate it will last my lifetime.

Love this shaker! Forms the perfect seal to not make a mess

This is the best. It does not "perspire" due to double wall. It does not leak due to screw-on opening and leakproof gaskets. Built-in measurement in the lid. I can't say enough about this. Every little problem with other cocktail shakers is solved in this one! The only minor nuisance is having to remove the gaskets to wash, but that is just being nit-picky. This thing was worth every penny.
