Review: Makes it inhospitable for them without making it inhospitable for you. - We had raccoons in our chimney after they worked off the chimney cap poorly installed by previous owners. We had attempted a few other suggestions like loud music or loud talk radio but it didn't seem to drive them off. Finally we tried spraying this in the chimney flue and also got some audio of dogs barking that we placed in the chimney. The dogs barking got our real dog barking but still no raccoons coming out. However the next day we stopped hearing noises and after a few days we suspect they vacated the premises. Yesterday I soaked some rags and dropped them down our chimney to make sure and set up a camera to watch and nothing is coming out anymore. We think they are gone. My chimney is very tall and precarious so I want to make sure they are out before I shove my face looking down the chimney on a ladder. But I suspect it worked as described. The raccoons found the smell intolerable. Mama raccoon moved her babies out as she could. We'll cap if properly. The mint smell is strong but not intolerable at all. I wore rubber gloves but didn't realize one had a tear in it until my hand was already wet. After washing them it smelled pretty nice actually. So a good solution to those who aren't ready for a coyote urine solution. I can see how it may not work 100% of the time but it worked for us.

**Q: does it work on roaches**
A: Yes, but just make sure you don't use it around your pets.  It's toxic to dogs and cats.  Works great on spiders.  I put some on a cotton ball under my kitchen sink cabinet, in my closets, under my bathroom sink, etc. .

**Q: I live in Florida does it work on plametto bugs .... rocches..... and ants?**
A: I used to live in FL so I know what your talking about. Since Palmetto bugs have an exoskeleton, I highly recommend Diatomaceous Earth. it is made from the fossilized remains of tiny, aquatic organisms called diatoms. Their skeletons are made of a natural substance called silica. It is a powder form and highly effective at killing anything with an exoskeleton. It is natural not harmful to pets or humans. You should not breath in the dust though. Be sparing with its application. It works by limiting the oxygen needed through their outer skeleton. Ants usually walk away from it. It is a natural remedy. Read up on it and you will see. It's great

**Q: How long is it effective before you need to respray?**
A: I'm not sure.  I spray a little every time I put a bag with any food leftovers in it in the can.  I originally said I thought the bottle was expensive.  However, I'm finding it's lasting pretty well.  It sprays a fine mist, so you don't use a whole lot of product each time you spray.  The main thing for me is that my garbage is still intact.  I haven't seen hide nor hair of a squirrel anywhere near my garbage since I started using it.  I've noticed there seems to be a lot fewer flies and ants too.  So far, I love this product!

**Q: If the rats are stil alive, they can still produce bab rats.  If we want to eliminate them, how is this product effective?**
A: I have not actually ever had a rat in my house.  Mice and squirrels, and I believe to a great extent even insects, seem to be repelled by the smell of the mint.  Since they don't like it, they leave.  My aim has never been to kills anything, but to deter them from living in my space and encourage them to seek living quarters outdoors where they belong.  It really does work, but if you are infested, it takes time I believe.  You may have to resort to trapping or something to get a whole nest out.  This product is more of a discourager and repellent, it does not harm or kill them.

I have a raccoon problem of them tearing up my lawn and potted plants searching for grubs. I used cayenne pepper which kept them out of my yard for months. The problem returned this year, but cayenne tends to blow in the wind and get in my eyes and all over my clothes. I thought that this spray may help. The peppermint fragrance is pleasing, and I sprayed the perimeter with it. It kept out ants and mosquitoes, but did NOTHING for the pests ravaging my yard. Not only was my lawn dug up again, but a family of cats made my yard its home. good on bugs, not good for critters.
