Review: Better than the green goo - Recently, while I was at work, I noticed that I had at some point run over a nail with my car. Normally, you'd take your car to the tire shop and let them plug the hole for you. Well, the only problem was that the nail decided that it was going to poke my tire where the sidewall meets the tread, and most shops will refuse to plug a tire when it's punctured there. Makes sense, it's a liability issue for them, so I can't blame them. That still leaves me with the problem of having a tire with a nail in it. So, I could either replace the tire with either a new or used tire, which is expensive or I can try using a sealant to try and get as many miles out of my tire as I can. In the past, I had tried using the green goo sealant on nail holes, and while it works to get you 15 miles down the road, that's about it. Now, while TireJect doesn't recommend using their product on punctures on the shoulder of the tire, I decided that I'd give it a try to see if it would work. And as of writing this review, it's been about 10 days since I put TireJect in my tire, and so far, it hasn't leaked any air, despite it not being meant for the shoulder. When money isn't so tight, I'll probably go ahead and replace the tire, especially since there's only about 4/32 tread depth left, but for the time being, I'll keep running it, and hopefully it keeps holding pressure properly like it has been. Now, as for how easy it is to use, the only tools you will need that aren't provided, is an air compressor to allow you to re-inflate the tire. The kit comes with everything else you will need, including a valve core removal tool and a syringe to add the sealant to your tire. To use this product, you will first need to carefully remove the valve core with the provided tool, careful not to lose the core, since it doesn't come with a replacement core. After that, thread the hose on the syringe on to your valve stem, and then carefully add the required amount of sealant to the syringe. If you accidentally spill some, wipe it off before it dries, so that it doesn't stain anything. From there, just push the goo into the tire with the plunger, adding more to the syringe as necessary. When you're all done, re-install the valve core into the valve stem snuggly, careful not to over-tighten, and air up the tire to the recommended PSI with your compressor. After all that is done, go take a short, slow drive to distribute the sealant, and then recheck your air pressure.
Review: Wonderful product - Had a pinhole leak on the side of the tread right above where the sidewall begins. Took my truck to shop #1. Won't fix a leak on the sidewall. It is a pinhole. probably the size of a sewing needle, very slow leak. 'Well, we ream out the hole, plug it and put a patch on the inside. the patch won't stick on the sidewall. You'll need to buy a new tire." Me: How much for a new tire? "$300" These tires have only 5,000 mile on them. They are new tires. Took the truck to shop #2. Same story. He did tell me it is an insurance liability issues. He did agree that it is an expensive solution. He suggested that if it was his tire, he'd probably use the green stuff. Not really a fan of that. Researched a bit and found TireJect. Watch some videos of guys abusing tires to test it out,. If it can seal 20 nails in a tire, i have hope my pinhole leak could be sealed. Ordered some, and tried it out. 10 minutes. aired it up. rolled the truck up and down the drive. Next day, same pressure. I'm on about day 80. Same pressure. I'm gonna call it good. Only issue is a bit of carelessness on my part. after filling the injector, I laid the pouch on the drive. It is VERY liquid and did spill some. Another caution, this is not recommended for sidewall punctures. I get that. But this is a tiny hole that I feel confident that the puncture did not damage the integrity of the tire, as a nail might. Bottom line: spending $35 to save $300 was worth it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This product actually works!
*by K***O on February 12, 2023*

I have to admit, I was skeptical about whether this product would work. Just over three years ago, I bought new tires for my Ford Escape. I don't drive it much, but I use it for road trips, and I wanted to make sure it had good tires on it. I bought Michelins and paid dearly for them, but like shoes, I feel tires are an important investment. That said, I immediately began having problems with one tire losing air fast. It would be down by 10 psi in a week. I went back to the tire shop, and they ended up charging me $20 for a new valve stem. Well, that didn't fix the problem. I did some digging online and found out that the aluminum alloy wheels are the culprit, and that there's not much I could do to fix the problem. The rims lose their seal at the bead, and the only real way to fix the problem would be to purchase new - expensive - rims. I could have the tire shop take the tires off the rims and apply bead sealer, but they don't like to do that, as it makes for a mess the next time they put tires on. Plus, I had already paid a lot for the tires and a little more for their "fix" that didn't work. After a while, another tire started losing air quickly. I ended up putting air in the tires weekly - fortunately I have my own compressor at home. Finally - years later - I was doing some digging online and found this product and many folks gave it rave reviews. So, I decided to give it a try. I followed the directions explicitly. Both rear tires were the problem, so I jacked up the rear of the car until both wheels were off the ground and let the air out. I removed the valve stem cores with the tool provided. I attached the included syringe to the valve of the first tire and carefully measured out the amount until I put 6 ounces of material into the tire. I then replaced the valve stem, aired up the tires, and began spinning it. I wasn't sure how long to spin it, so I pun it for a good 5 minutes before working on the other tire. NOTE: I spun the tire in both directions, just to make sure the product was as evenly distributed as possible. After filling the second tire, I spun it in both directions (which also spun the first one). After lowering the car off the jack, I drove slowly through my village to continue the distribution action. After about 15 minutes of in-town driving, I took the car on the highway for about 15 minutes. Then, I waited. About a week later, I checked the tire pressures. I made sure the temperature was the same as the day I filled them last, as that will affect tire pressure. I was pleased that one of the tires was still at pressure, while the other was 2 lbs light. Another week later, I checked and the first tire was good, while the second tire was a few pounds light. I filled the light one and took the car for a 45 minute drive, spent some time there, then back home. 10 days later, I checked the tire pressure and much to my surprise BOTH TIRES WERE AT PRESSURE! I am pleased as can be that this product worked. I recommend giving the product some time to do its job, as I experienced one tire taking longer to seal than the other. I was actually considering - as per instructions - adding another ounce of product to the still-leaking tire. I'm glad I waited, because now I know it can take a while for the sealer to seal the leak. I highly recommend TireJect Automotive Tire Sealant & Bead Sealer. Follow the instructions, give it a couple weeks or more to completely seal, and I think you'll be as happy with the results as I am.
