Should have bought this a long time ago! I have a Shark vacuum but it hurts my back to use it. This Rubbermaid commercial series mechanical push sweeper is the bomb! Easy to push, turn, get close to base boards and the brush roll efficiently picks up dust and debris both when it's pushed or pulled. It will pick up hair but will wrap around the brush. It comes with a small brush to remove hair and debris stuck in the roll brush. Definitely a good purchase.

I've waited months before I decided to write a review of this mechanical sweeper. Now I am ready to offer my evaluation. My apartment has four Persian rugs, and I have an expensive vacuum to avoid damaging the fibres. But the vacuum weighs a ton, and dragging it out every time to pick up surface dust and hair has become too much of chore. This little mechanical sweeper is god-sent. It weighs nearly nothing, it is maneuverable, it picks up dust and hair and, most important, it is easy to clean. The bottom has two chambers that open with a flick of finger. The accumulated dirt can be emptied into a bin, and the inside wiped down with a Lysol wipe. The sweeper stays clean in the closet for next sweep-up. I do not have pets, but I can see why this is also an ideal sweeper for pet hair. This lightweight mechanical "broom" is quickly at the ready when the floors need cleaning, and its cost is surprisingly reasonable.

The handle comes in 4 pieces, but the threads on one of them are malformed, so the pieces can't be assembled. So bad quality it doesn't even work.
