Looove mu hat but made a mistake on size! I ordered the same size of an old one I have but it’s a bit loose! Will use it anyway!

I wanted a Tilley hat for my morning walks. Baseball caps are just not flattering. When I saw this Blue hat I just had to have it. It was the right style and blue is my favorite color.My normal hat size is 7-3/8 so I ordered up--7-1/2. Unfortunately, it is a little tight even though I ordered a bit bigger. The odd thing is that I ordered another hat in the same style in a different color directly from Tilley in a 7-1/2 and that one is a bit too big. So, I can't give any helpful feedback on sizing. I am very confused about it.My husband has worn Tilley hats for years and years. I don't think any of them have worn out. They wash nicely and they don't blow off your head if you use the string that comes with them. They are expensive, but they do last a few days short of forever.

It is important to buy the right size. I settled on 7 1/2 when I am more of a 7 1/4. Once it fits the hat is wonderfully comfortable and practical and well designed. I love the chin strap that can be tucked up inside when not needed and nicely securable when it’s windy. I also really like the option of buttoning the sides of the brim up. It’s a great hat.
