Even with my heavy 14 foot ~80 lb kayak, these provided great tie downs at the sides of the hood and at the bottom of the hatch of our Subaru Crosstrek. No more trying to find a tie down under the car bumper and having the ropes rub the paint. The product has stood up very well, and at this point even if they were falling apart, at their price I would 100% purchase another set.
