Bought this for my work desk, it works great!PROsCompact: Just slightly bigger than a CD/DVD overall, & about 2 inches deep when folded up.Effective for at least 4 feet, it will keep you cool.2 swivels make sure you can point this thing at any possible angle, including straight up or down.Both the base and the clamp have foam to keep it from slipping. -Love this featureQuiet: Only produces a light buzz on the highest setting.Long lasting: Battery lasted for almost an entire 40 hour work week for me (Turned off during breaks).Light: I have no idea where this thing hides the battery, it weighs just a little more than a 9-volt.Charge lights -A feature that shouldn't be taken for granted.ConsTakes 7 hours to charge -Considering how long it runs, not a big deal.Power button is inset into the back; can be hard to find without looking.Top-heavy: Easy to knock over by clipping the top if set on a surface. -Not a problem if you place an oblong object in the clamp for extra support.

This fan is quiet, fairly powerful for its size, has a battery that lasts a very long time without charging, runs while charging so you can keep it plugged in while using it and thus keep it continuously charged. It's great.We have bought five of them, and four are still working all around our house. They are always plugged in so that if we have a power outage during one of the heat waves that we are seeing more and more, we will have working fans for many hours, so that in an emergency we can just soak T-shirts in water, put them on, and aim the fans at us to cool down.The reason we have only four fans working now is because our fifth fan's mini-USB charging port broke off. Just from ordinary use, it broke and fell into the fan housing.From this as well as similar reports by others here, this mini-USB port appears to be the Achilles heel of this fan. But I encourage you to buy this fan nonetheless; just be very careful when plugging or removing your USB cable from the charging port. We have decided to just leave the USB cable attached to the port most of the time, so that we can minimize the number of times we have to stress it.
