Calls would almost always establish but it was very difficult to find a place in the house where people could hear you when you were talking with them. Even when you did find place where you could stand on one foot an lean toward a window the spot would occasionally move and you were back searching again. So we decided to buy this used microcell and hope it worked. I was nervous because of the bad reviews and the people who couldn't get it to work. But to my surprise the setup and product worked exactly as described. I plugged it in, waited about 15 minutes and then did the registration on the A&T website. I am not a very patient person but after about 90 minutes of pacing and checking the flashing lights on the front of the microcell the GPS and 3G lights stopped flashing and went solid green. Although I was very tempted to a few times to unplug it and reboot it I am glad I resisted and let it do its thing. For people like me I would recommend doing it just before bed or before leaving the house and avoid the wasted 90 minutes of watching lights flash. I may have gotten little lucky and picked a good seller - Mani Products. There are multiple sellers of these used microcells and I picked Mani Products because of their reviews and they claimed to test the devices to make sure they were unregistered from the previous owner and were ready for a new registration process. Given some of the bad reviews on this product I recommend checking the seller ratings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Found the silver lining!! *by C***F on Reviewed in the United States on 3 August 2017* Could not believe when I started having problems about 6 months ago with my signal inside my condo, keep calling them, and when I finally got in touch with an AT&T tech support person who was super helpful, they said that they didn't guarantee that the signal would work INSIDE...wha?? I can't use my cellphone inside?? They said they had checked all the towers (ha!) and I was right in the middle of three, but maybe blah blah blah.....so I was pretty cheesed that I would have to buy something to get a signal INSIDE MY HOME!So ordered this, super easy peasy to set up. And I LOVE it! Get a better, more consistent, more stable signal than I think I've ever had!! Glad I got it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I HAVE 5 BARS NOW! *by S***C on Reviewed in the United States on 22 December 2018* Installing/connecting the device is very easy. Instructions are good,easy to follow and to complete on the MicroCell website. Activation is what caused me a few problems. After the initial 90 minutes run time for the activation to complete, I had a red flashing Network indicator. I followed the trouble shooting instructions to unplug from wall outlet, wait at least one minute, (I waited 3 mins) to plug back into wall outlet. The manual states will take about 30 mins to re-configure, took mine an hour, and the same thing happened. Flashing red indicator! I called AT&T support, very nice rep, but was basically told these "older light colored units", even though it was new, would not function properly with the GPS configuration---that was my problem in the error message.--and even the newer black ones don't either. AT&T support suggested buying a new smart phone w/Wi Fi calling option and use that for cell phone calling. So, not wanting to give up & take that for an answer, I went into my MicroCell account online and actually disconnected/deactivated the MicroCell account. I then tried to rebuild my account, it would not accept the device serial number at first. So I turned everything off. I opened the window, set the device in the window sill to be sure it had the best GPS reception possible. Waited 30 mins. I returned to the website, and then I was able RE-Register the device. I plugged power adapter into outlet. The device started the loading process again, and an hour later, I had 5 bars!!!! I have had it on a few hours now & no matter where I go in my house I have 5 bars!!! I only get 3 bars outside! I think all is well now and I am certainly happy with this device. I was lucky, I searched extensively and got the best deal I could find--- on Amazon. I found a vendor with a new device, cheaper than any other offer on Amazon or the web!
