Is there a trick to turning them on? They are solar, I hit the on/off button on the back several times, it isn't lighting up and it is dark out.

Hi , our solar meteor shower lights have on/off button, but the lights it's Automatically lighting when in the darkness at the night, and turn off in the day also automatically. By the way, when charge in the sunshine, the button modern always it's " ON''

I want to use at church but we have no trees! What other options are there for displaying?

I don't hang mine from trees. I have a sort of pergola in my back yard from which they hang. I have the string stretched across the top, stapled, and the solar panel sitting in the sun. These are beautiful lights.

how long is the string of lights from the solar panel to the very last light? 300' driveway, how many strings needed?

The string of lights is about 8 feet long with an additional 5 foot of string to the solar panel. That's a lot of lights for a 300 ft driveway....both sides?
