Initiate’s Trial: First Book of Sword of the Canon

Good day, i was negatively surprised by the size of the font of this book. It will be no pleasure to read the book with such a tiny font and that is a real pity. So, others who are interested in the book beware that you need to have very good eyesight and good correction to be able to read that book.

This is a most excellence book . It is sited about 200 years after book 8 in the large series The Wars of Light & Shadow. now I find myself anxiously waiting for the next book always the annoyance of a good series picked up before it is finished.

Almost impossible to read. Close to needing a magnifying glass to get through it. Picture comparison between Stormed Fortress and Initiate's Trial. The publisher made cost savings on this book by reducing the font size to a much smaller size compared to the earlier novels. Book should have been 25% thicker. Story was amazing as always by Wurts. My enjoyment and experience was negatively impacted because of middle-management decisions in the publishing house.

This book is a little different from the previous five because it's a new arc in the series. It opens 200+ years after the end of the previous book, and details of what's been going on are filled in when they become relevant. It took me a few reads to fully appreciate it, and I'm still not quite sure where it's going, but that's what the next book is for! The arcs in this story are sort of like mini-series within the series, so it's expected to have a bit more of a setup feel in the initial book of each arc. It's worth the read and the reread, and I'm confident that the next book will bring it to greater fulfillment - it's always worked that way so far.

Since reading her add ons to the Raymond E Feist books, she has been one of my favourite authors and this book does not disappoint, for lovers of this type of book it is an excellent buy
