It does give you that slight “crunchy” feeling for a few days (which I prefer) and my curls will easily hold last for a week! I noticed that a little does go a long way and if you’re too heavy handed, you’re more likely to have a serious “crunchy” feeling and too much may also dry out your hair. I used the coconut hibiscus curl smoothie with it and I never experienced any white residue or flakes and it made my hair shiny.
