Excellent product at a very low price

This regulator replaced the original on our early 80s Kubota B5100, which had failed. I figured out that the old regulator had failed by measuring the AC voltage coming into the old regulator (the two blue wires) at 18 volts with the engine running at a fast idle, so it was clear that the alternator was working. The DC voltage at the battery was only 12.6 volts after a full charge, so the regulator was not changing the battery. With the new regulator, with the engine again at a fast idle, the DC voltage at the battery climbed steadily from 13.1 volts.

Previous owner hooked the battery up backwards on this B7100. It was run that way until I purchased it and found this goof. Swapped the cables back around and found the charging system wasn't working. Figured I'd give this voltage regulator a go to see if it would fix the charging system.Installs and plugged in just like the original. Now I have a charging system! Been working for a month or so now.Update... Only lasted 1 season. Will not buy again.
