What is the reason that machine drying isn't recommended?

Dear customer, We appreciate your interest in our period shorts. High heat will damage the waterproof material as well as shorten any textile's life cycle. However, our period products which are made with quality materials can tumble dry at low temperatures, below 40 Celsius or 100 Fahrenheit. Thank you. – love & care from Goat Union.

Do these come in anything besides x-small? You certainly have a wider range of sizes in the picture!

Dear customer, We appreciate your interest in our overnight period shorts. We apologize for all the missing sizes that have been out of stock for a while. We are working very closely with our partnered factory and will restock the full inventory as soon as possible. Sorry to keep you waiting and thank you for your patience and support. – love & care from Goat Union.

How many underwear in

Dear customer, Thank you for your interest in our product. One order contains one pair of overnight period shorts. Please let us know if you have other questions. Thank you. – love & care from Goat Union.

Why isn't this item eligible for fsa/hsa when other period underwear, including from this company, are?

I believe they are fsa/hsa eligible, it just may not directly say it on the amazon listing. Under the CARES act all period products are fsa/hsa covered. If you can’t purchase directly with your card, try submitting the receipt/proof of purchase for reimbursement! Hope that helps!
