Stable and comfortable
I'll admit I was a little surprised how stable and comfortable this was when I first started using it. For me personally, the straps going under the arms remain very steady and don't rub or chafe. I've used this thing up to half-marathon distance with bare shoulders and it felt as comfortable as with a shirt. The entire pack just stays put and doesn't move about at all. I forget it's there within minutes of starting a run. The meshed back breathes very well and doesn't feel like it is creating extra heat or discomfort in hot weather. Removing and replacing the bottle becomes second nature quite quickly. The bottle it comes with is stiff plastic so you will get some water splashing sfx with your run unless, like most, you'll have something stuffed in your ears for motivation anyway so you probably won't notice. The zipped compartment is small and slim for obvious reasons but it will happily accept large phones. I slipped a Samsung S24 Ultra in there without a problem. Overall, excellent product for my needs.

Best hydration solution for long runs
Best hydration option for long runs. Iโve tried them all. Belt solutions bounce, and use nonstandard bottles that are hard to refill quickly. Holding a bottle(s) in your hand wastes valuable energy. Packs that have bladders ride lower on your back and donโt allow for as much cooling, and then you have to deal with bladders: harder to refill, and a pain to clean out. OrangeMud nailed it: the hydraquiver does not bounce, is very comfortable, will hold a standard bottle (Iโve used up to 29oz tall bottles, which are easier to grab), and has extra storage for gels, phone, etc. highly recommend. Iโm always surprised I donโt see more people using them.

Good concept, not comfortable
I tested this in long runs and a half-marathon race. Like the concept but Iโm retiring it; not comfortable or functional enough and there is better much on the market for less money. The good: - One large(ish) water bottle which is easily refilled at race water stations. This concept is the best part. The smooth refill experience at race water stations was the highlight. - The bottle is fairly easy to grab and put back - The vest is small and breathable - It sits high on the back, which is quite nice The fixable: - The water bottle is not great: not insulated and it leaks significantly unless you awkwardly stick the entire nozzle in your mouth all the way to its base but for $10 you can replace with a Camelbak insulated bottle. Odd they wouldnโt put a great insulated bottle since theyโre very cheap and thatโs the whole appeal of this vest. - The straps cut into skin but I got microfiber pads for the straps which fully addresses this. This should come with the vest though since itโs such an overwhelming complaint in reviews. The bad: - nowhere near as comfortable as other running vests. I wouldnโt call it uncomfortable but can never get it quite perfect. If this was my first vest I would be content but knowing what good feels like this is disappointing. - Pockets are not very functional so I still need a belt. Might as well just add a water flask to the belt and not wear a vest at all. The pocket in the back is big but you really canโt put much in it otherwise it pushes the bottle to an angle and it hits your head. The big pocket is zippered and safe for car keys and small items though. The pockets on the shoulders face downward and have open sides so definitely donโt wrk for anything small and theyโre too small for anything big. I was able to fit two gels in each. - Grabbing and putting back the water bottle is โeasyโ but itโs a bit of an awkward movement which requires more effort than ideal. Found myself delaying hydration and waiting for the next water station because I didnโt want to deal with reaching back there. - This is a very special-purpose equipment since it mainly holds a water bottle which is big but not big enough for long runs. You will still need a different vest for long runs that donโt have water stations.

A great alternative to bladder packs, waist packs and hand-held bottles
I purchased this product since I didn't want to use a bladder-type hydration pack and have had less than favorable results with some other hydration systems (Nathan Triangle Insulated Angled Holster Waist Pack and Quickdraw Plus Handheld). Carrying a handheld bottle became a pain after 5 or 6 miles, and the waist pack would rotate around my waist as I ran. This pack sits a little higher up on the back than a bladder-type system. Once you get used to the position of the pack, you really don't even notice that it's there. Bottle removal and insertion is a breeze and the bottle stays in place surprisingly well. The only time I ever had it fall out of the quiver was when I quickly removed the pack. The pockets on the front of the shoulder straps are easily accessible and the perfect size for holding gel packs (or packs of nut butters). The large pocket in the rear has a key lanyard and can easily hold a mobile phone and a pair of gloves. I found two minor flaws, both related to the bottle... 1) The plug is not easily pushed all the way down. While the plug may appear to be seated, I had it leak quite a bit when running. I might end up using another bottle if the problem persists. 2) The plug also cannot be removed for cleaning like those on the Nathan bottles. It would be nice to thoroughly clean the plug (i.e., with bleach) on occasion to remove any bacteria. I feel that it's perfect for distances up to 15 miles. For anything longer, I would move up to the Double Barrel model. By all means, don't let the steep price scare you off, this is great pack!

) I don't like carrying water bottles in my hand
Just ran a marathon with this:) I don't like carrying water bottles in my hand... and hate cleaning the packs with the long straw, and they never held up... figured I'd try this... Extremely happy! It's very comfortable, it's well built, and designed... has a back pocket for your phone, keys, mp3 player, with a hole for headphones... love the design of the shoulder pockets for easy access to gels(loved the elastic , so you can open it on the run and they don't fall out) it's easily adjustable , it's comfortable and padded well.... really impressed with this product!!!!... Was a little pricey at 100$ And the color selection is limited, but I will have this on for all my long runs, also use it while biking, (just needed a shorter water bottle for biking because my helmet would hit a taller one)

Comfortable, tight fit, good for running
I run outside in Texas so in the summer time I need to carry water but didn't want to hold the water bottle. This backpack has worked perfectly. It has a pocket large enough for my phone and keys. It takes a little time to get used to have the straps around your arms, but after adjusting it and running with it a few times, it feels natural.

I love this product!
Unusual way to carry stuff, but surprisingly comfortable. Bottle does not fall out when I bend over to tie shoes. After many uses I went ahead and purchased a few other products from this Orange Mud company. I bought their newest double bottle holder backpack. It is even better than this one (if you go out for extremely long hikes, or runs, or bike rides, etc. They did a few changes in the newest one. It is even more comfy and the places where you can store food, etc. are more practical. You never have to take it off to get to anything. It also has practical places to hold a large smart phone.
