A: That is correct and Amazon has been informed several times. The pump is gray and slightly larger

A: With the outlet vertically set, mine measures 5.5 tall to the top of the outlet. None of my measurements match description. Mine is 7x5.5x3.25 ( LxHxW ) as close as I can get anyway. Tough to measure where it is set in my sump.
