I want to reporrt that almost two years later, this dashcam is working FLAWLESSLY. I have never had an issue and it has served me very well. I do not need a new dashcam, but if I did, the REDTIGER F7N 4K dashcam would be my choice. It was money well spent. And for full disclosure, REDTIGER does not know I am writing an update; I only thought of it because my friend down the street asked if I had a dashcam and, if so, what brand/model? Easy answer and recommendation. I hope he is as happy as I have been! I've wanted a dashcam for my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country for the longest time. I did a ton of research before buying and delayed purchasing for quite some time. While I'm sure some of the competitor models are good, I finally decided on the REDTIGER 4K front/rear dashcam. I liked this one for the features and the great feedback I saw. REDTIGER dashcam shows very clear images, has Bluetooth and GPS capability, and a parking mode if hardwired (I didn't do that part yet, but I'm about to). Installation is on the right side of the rear view mirror and that actually is good since you don't want to be gawking at the camera and not at the road. I just connected it to my iPhone today using the UCAM app and it worked flawlessly. Great field of view, clarity, and smoothness. If I wanted to take a photo or save the video, it was just a press of a button on the phone. I was very impressed. Installation was ridiculously simple and that part startled me because I am not usually adept at this type of thing. Except for the 2-3 inches of wires by camera, the wiring is totally invisible. I do recommend going on YouTube and watching how to install the rear camera on a hatchback to get the wiring in the correct location. Customer service was exceptional!! I had purchased the dashcam for $149.99 along with a hardwire kit to use the cam in parking mode that was paired with the cam for another $18.99. The dash cam comes with a 32GB mini-card, but I upgraded to a 256GB mini-card. Well, the paired hardwiring kit had the wrong plug so it had to go back. While looking on desertcart, I saw a new deal for the exact same REDTIGER 4K dashcam for $118.99. I asked desertcart for a credit, but they said I had to return the unit and reorder. So I reordered the dashcam, but I decided to wait on the wiring. The new unit came in the next day, but it did not have the 32GB mini card. I received an email from Ms. Shelly, REDTIGER representative, who was concerned that I had a poor experience. I explained that wasn't true; I simply couldn't get a credit from desertcart. I told her the hardwiring kit wasn't correct and the mini-card was missing on the new unit. Ms. Shelly from REDTIGER immediately apologized profusely and said the company would make it right. She was professional, patient, and knowledgeable - very customer service-friendly. I asked about an extention cable to the rear of the van and the cost because I wasn't sure the supplied rear camera cable would be long enough (I hadn't installed it yet). But REDTIGER company promptly sent me one free of charge! As it turns out, the original cable was just long enough, but if I decide to reconfigure the cable location, this extension will come in handy. Oh, and they also gave me a new hardwiring kit free, AND gave me a credit for the missing 32GB mini-card, even though I said it was ok because I had purchased the 256GB card. I offered to pay for the wires up front, but they wouldn't hear of it. The point is that REDTIGER, through Ms. Shelly, provided OUTSTANDING and PROMPT customer service. They didn't have to reach out, but they did. They didn't have to be concerned, but they were. They didn't have to provide the accessories for free, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. They went out of their way to make it right, and they weren't even the ones at fault!! And Shelly is simply the BEST!! She demonstrated the company really cares. I cannot speak to the folks who didn't enjoy this dashcam, and here's hoping it works for a long time (it's not even close to hot outside yet). But I am absolutely thrilled with both the cam and the company. I highly recommend this brand and trust me, it usually takes a lot for this old Air Force retiree to recommend anything - this was my experience. Sure glad I bought this REDTIGER dash cam. ADDENDUM: After about 6 weeks, I did experience an issue with the camera not synching with my new phone. I contacted REDTIGER and Ms. Shelly was genuinely concerned and immediately sent me a new unit. This new dash cam works perfectly and I am grateful for the absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service AFTER the sale. This is the customer service one would expect from all sellers, but we all know that doesn't always happen. I mean, how many times have you read where customers got stiffed because it was after the return window? I can testify that mine was after the return window, too - But REDTIGER stands by their product and made it right without any hassles. They just took care of the problem. My new unit arrived exactly 24 hours after the conversation with Shelly. I stand by my earlier comments that I am so glad I bought the REDTIGER dash cam. This one is working just fine. Review: Requires formatting SD card every 15 days or would stop recording - See Update - --- UPDATE March 20, 2024 Excellent customer service. This seller made sure I received all the possible help to resolve my issue and went above and beyond. Kudos to REDTIGER. Camera is working as expected and no issues have been found after the last update. I'm very happy with this dash camera and its features. --- UPDATE January 23, 2024 Good customer support but still facing the same problem. You have to format the card once it gets full. I was contacted by their customer support and was asked to do a firmware upgrade using the file "F7N_v1.20231108.0_318ENKEY.V140" and following the instruction listed on their website. I did the firmware upgrade on December 12 2023 and it was working fine until January 16 2024 when I got the same problem again. While I was driving through town I heard a loud beeping sound and saw a red rectangle on the camera little screen indicating a "Card error. please try to reboot". Of course, once again I'm driving and this camera was beeping constantly so I had to pull over, stop the car and deal with the error message. I rebooted the camera with no change. Same beeping sound and Card error message popped up again. I power-cycle the camera two more times with same result "card error". I had to go thru the menu and format the card and that seems fixed the issue. Doy you see what I mean? it is unacceptable to have a camera that stops recording, starts beeping continuously and the only way to make it work is to manually format the SD card. I have owned several DVR dash cameras through the years, from cheap to expensive (HP, Garmin, Cobra, Kingslim, Rexing, etc) and this is the first camera I came across with this issue. Are you guys working on a new fix? ---- original review ---- My biggest concern is that it will stop recording in the middle of a trip regardless of the distance. In order to fix it you have to pull over to manually format the SD card which means all the previous recordings will be lost. I bought this REDTIGER F7N 4K camera to replace an obnoxious Rexing V1P 3rd generation that was failing 50% of the time. This REDTIGER camera was a breeze to install and it was an upgrade from my old one with much better 4K definition on the front and 2.5K on the rear camera. I installed it on my wife's Tacoma and she was very happy specially because she no longer had to unplug the old camera every other time she drove the truck. I put a 128Gb SD card and off she goes. Well, our happiness last three weeks when she told me the camera was making a beeping sound and displaying something on the screen and it was no longer recording. My first thought was there might be something wrong with the SD card so I did the format and told wife you are all set. Two weeks later the same thing happened so with! Turns out that this camera does NOT overwrite previous recordings so when the SD cards gets full it just stop recording until you manually erase/delete all file using the "format" SD card which is a pain in the butt because you have to go through a series of steps in the little screen and takes time. Like I said, for your own security you have to do it safely parked and not while driving. It might be something silly for some but for me is a deal-breaker. Too bad my return window has passed and now I'm stuck with this camera.

I guess it reached its life expectancy.
I have had the camera for four years. I never did hook up the rear camera. It's been a great camera, never missed a key event. Everything worked great; great image. My previous dashcam stopped in the middle of a key event and restarted about 20 seconds later missing the event. I replaced it with this one. A month ago, it quit working. It appears to cycle on and off. Perhaps that is the life expectance. Following the trouble shooting instructions, I received no email replay after 16 days nor instructions when I sought help from there online help feature, about a week ago. It's time to get a new one.

Good cam, great service.
Executive summary: good cam; small with clear images; neat windshield install solution; top-drawer customer service; ok 3rd party free Android app. A keeper. If you want a 23-minute in-depth review, and I mean in depth, search on YouTube for Jabber Tech, "RedTiger WiFi GPS Dash Camera..." This video has long sequences of drive video -- day, dusk, night. Jabber's drive videos match my experience around clarity, automatic light compensation, and audio. Mounting RedTiger supplies 2 pieces of what they call electrostatic film that goes between your windshield and the 3M super-sticky adhesive on the GPS module. (You just slide the camera off the GPS module during installation.) The film has moderate but very effective adhesive on the windshield side. Repositioning the camera without the film would result in destruction of the 3M sticky. Repositioning with the film involved simply peeling the film off the windshield and re-sticking. I'm now on my 3rd reposition. Position 1 gave me a viewpoint that contained a whole lot of the rear view mirror mount on the left of the image. This cam is REALLY wide angle. Moved it an inch or so to the right, thanks to the film, and no more mirror mount close-ups. Then I discovered that the dotted top-of-windshield shading on my 2003 Toyota Avalon's windshield seriously blocked acquisition of GPS satellites. My theory is that the dots are metallic frit burned onto the glass rather than plain old silkscreen ink, and the metal content is absorbing/blocking the GPS signals. Position 3 now puts the GPS module on clear glass about 1/32" inch below the dotted shading. GPS signal acquisition is now as fast as it's going to be (takes some time) and once locked in, it stays locked in for the duration of the trip. My experience is that, after car start, it's about 3 minutes of driving or about 2 miles before the GPS location and ground speed kicks in. Controls WIth a camera this small, there's no real estate for tons of buttons. This means that every button has multiple functions that depend on what you're doing at the moment. The manual, which is very good, is about as clear as you can get around this, but you should expect a bit of a learning curve. The only way out is through -- spending time working out how to alter settings, take a snapshot, manually turn off the camera, find the configuration of the many options, and so on. Alternatively you can just go with the factory defaults: video begins recording when power reaches the camera, drive segment files are 1 minute long (there is no lag between each successive MP4 1-min. file), resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second. Customer service: Via email. It is top-drawer support whose access point in the US is in Colorado. I found RedTiger's service VERY responsive and got replies in 12 hours. In my case, the manual was a tad ambiguous around repositioning, whether you pulled the GPS sticky off the film or the film off the windshield (it's the latter). Rose immediately sent me new 3M stickies and electrostatic films free, so I'll be able to reposition this cam till the cows come home. SD Card The manual recommends at least a Samsung 64 GB micro SD Class 10 U3 card. I'm finding that a (cheaper) Best Buy Samsung 128 GB Class 10 U1 card is working just fine. The manual cautions you not to turn to eBay or Amazon for the micro SD to avoid getting stuck with poor-performing fakes. The Android App To connect, I found I had to get away from any WiFi that I already had saved. In may case, this was a distant corner on an out-of-the-way strip mall parking lot. It's cool to see what the camera's seeing and to do rudimentary file diving. But transmission is too slow for downloading files from the F7N to the Android. For that, you're going to want to pop the micro SD card out and use a card reader, either OTC for the phone or USB for computers. Don't drop the card in your car because there are dozens of nooks and crannies for it to hide itself. It never falls in plain sight. As me how I know.... Summary I think it's a really good camera at what has become a low-middle range of price. I spent a long time watching those YouTube car crash / idiot driver videos, looking at the time stamps at the bottom of the images, figuring out which brands had the best images. Then, because I'm cheap, I cross-ruffed against price -- the high-end cams are about as good as this RedTiger F7N... for 2.5-3x the RedTiger price.

Top Quality Customer Service
I purchased this dashcam; this was the second dashcam for my second car. However, I installed it after almost a year. When I installed it, I found an issue with the rear cam. I reached out to customer service, and they responded to me quickly and sent me a replacement rear cam. The dashcam records high-quality videos, very crisp and high-resolution. The dashcam is easy to install. I highly recommend this dashcam. I also highly recommend the Redtiger brand.

Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
I've had this camera a little over a year now, so I've had some time to mess with it and use it. I'll give a small Pros list, and there's a longer cons list after that. First the pros. The camera quality is good, not great, but good. It says it's in 1440p but when I view the video on my computer (my monitor is 1440p) it doesn't look as crisp as I think it should. The usability is pretty good; easy to setup and change settings in the software and the screen isn't too small to see what you're doing on it. Now for the cons... The night quality is alright, you have to be a bit close to see plates clearly but 2 car lengths in front of you or more it gets a bit difficult to see on video, but you can clearly see the vehicles and things like that. The Wi-Fi feature to be able to connect to it and download the video is nice to have, but it' really slow. I'll sit in my car for 10+ minutes downloading one video. Speaking of downloading the videos, one of my main problems with this camera is that it's supposed to be there for recording if something happens, which can mean the difference in an accident if the cop deems you or the other at fault. Half of the time or maybe more, when there's something I need to get off of it, the video is corrupted, and that doesn't help at all if I were to get into an accident and need the video for police, insurance, or myself. Which actually just happened to me. I was on the way home from my honeymoon and I got side swiped and the police wanted my video for the report. Which also leads into my next main problem which is tied into the corrupt videos and the Wi-Fi feature. Whenever I go to enable the Wi-Fi feature to download my videos 80% of the time it will make a click sound, crash the camera, and power down then boot back up. Most of the time this happens multiple times in a row until it just stops. Which is why I think the videos end up corrupted due to the device not powering down correctly. So one of the main features I bought the camera for, so I could download the videos while I'm out, straight to my phone, is the reason why the videos I need end up corrupted and make them unusable. I couldn't even get the camera replaced with the one month Amazon return policy is because I didn't end up needing a video off of it for the first few months and it was too late to return. I wouldn't recommend this camera for the price range, I'd just go with a bigger brand if you're spending more than $100 on a dashcam like Garmin or I've also heard good things about Nexar. This is definitely not worth the price for the issues I've had, just spend a little more on something that will actually do its job.

Great quality, affordable price.
Aside from occasional issues like a corrupted SD card, and the painfully slow downloading speed if you're downloading to your phone app, the dashcam itself is solid quality, last a long time, and the quality for both front and rear is great for those who need a reliable dashcam but dont want to pay $500-600 for a higher end one. I do recommend looking for "High Endurance" or "Industrial" SD cards as Dashcam SD cards, particularly lower storage ones like 64gb and under go through a lot of cycles especially if you have the camera set to say 1-3 minute recording increments, and the last thing any of us want is a card to go bad right before, during or after an accident where you need the footage for your Insurance provider.

Rear camera is an exterior mount NOT rear window so complicated for Jaguar F Pace install
My first dashcam (I have been using an android app (Droidcam) on my phone for a few weeks which worked well as a test run but made the phone run hot). Unit is smaller than I expected with a screen so you can see what it sees. Other buyers had some issues ... here is my take (I skipped the picture quality aspects as they are covered by other reviews - its actually 2k but fine for my purposes) 1) Front camera mounting location is important - my car (Jaguar F Pace) has a specific area where you must mount electronic devices that need to have an external signal (eg toll passes - I found this out to my cost!) This is a black dotted area around the rear view mirror. Anything mounted outside this area gets flaky reception - this camera has GPS so needs to be mounted in the designated area. I took some time to work out where to put the camera so I could a) access all the buttons (both sides of the unit), and b) access the SD card - left hand side as you look forward. I ended up mounting it just to left of the rear view mirror (I am in the USA) - 2 pieces of electrostatic sheet are provided so you can glue the mount to those rather than the windscreen. Take your time! It is pretty unobtrusive but I can get at it easily including the button for taking a still picture... 2) Connecting to the unit - the unit uses a Wifi signal NOT bluetooth (same procedure as a smart bulb) so you need to connect to this. App is OK (I had no issues with Android) - connected fine. App install bombed out the first time but worked fine 2nd time. I had to allow a couple of permissions (write images etc) - all standard from my POV. 3) Installing rear camera - one thing I did not realise when I bought this was this is an EXTERNAL camera and is designed to be mounted on the number plate frame - having spent some time looking at how I could do this on my car I decided it was too complicated (if not impossible due to sealed units on the trunk) and opted to buy a rear window mount. I already have a reversing camera at the recommended location and this mounting position is too low for my purposes (eg if I have a small hitch attached the camera view would be blocked) Your car may be fine - suggest you check install BEFORE purchase or buy the window mount - this is the one I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Y2RS7F3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2D03PT3N1OAWT&psc=1. Red Tiger should probably add this cheap piece of plastic as another option or just include it in the kit. 4) Running the wires - there are 2 tools provided which allow you to push the wire into the trim around the window etc. Dead easy. Adhesive clips are also provided but I didn't use any. Front cable is 12 feet which is a little short for my purposes. USB C so ambidextrous on the right angle connector! 5) Connecting to power; The power unit is a gigantic cigarette lighter plug with an added USB port but it was just too big and the wire was about 2 feet too short for my car so I used a high powered double USB socket cigarette lighter plug and bought a 15 foot USB A to USB C cable. NB the jaguar F pace usb port did not provide sufficient power for the unit (it hooks into the infotainment system) so this was not an option in my case. Looking at hardwiring videos its all pretty straightforward - you need a multimeter to work out which fuses are on when the car is off (for 24 hour power) and which ones you can use (eg DONT use the airbag or any security circuits!). Seat power seems the easiest to use but check your car manual and other recommendations! . You need to buy a couple of wires to piggy back onto the non essential (but permanently ON) power supply in the fuse box. 6) Functionality: I really like the unit - small but well made - clear picture in the little screen and picture in picture for the rear view. Pretty intuitive - (power button for back and then middle right button for select and the other 2 buttons navigate the menus). In settings I turned sound OFF, GPS ON and WIFI On (whilst I tested the phone connection). If I had to grab images I would probably just pull the SD card and read it in my laptop. The 128Gb Samsung sd card comes with a reader chassis. 7) Recording time: It looks like the sd card needs be formatted every few weeks (there are settings options for reminders for this) and the 128Gb supports about 8 hours of travel. When the card is full is overwrites and you can specify the loop timing. - I set it to 5 minutes from memory. All in all a good purchase - I would recommend the 128Gb card bundle and grab a rear window mount if you don't want to fiddle with running the cables through the rear of your car. Dinged 1 star for 4k and lack of rear window mount and the app is not great as others have pointed out. UPDATE 11/14/2023 - I was stationary, waiting to turn right onto a main road when the driver behind rammed into the back of me. Fortunately there were no injuries. The rear dashcam captured the whole event as well as the driver getting out of the vehicle confirming who was driving. I uploaded the video to the insurance company to prove my statement and am currently getting my vehicle fixed ($5K of damage). Apparently, I will get my deductible refunded if the other driver is found to be at fault (this is VERY clear with the video). The only tricky element was reducing the size of the video to something that could be emailed or uploaded (seems like 20Mb is the limit for the latte with my insurer). All in all very happy with the purchase and the quality of the video.

Works well and comes with a 'pry' tool
I am totally clumsy when it comes to DIY, but with the help of some YouTube videos and the included 'Pry tool' I was able to install this in my car and route all the wiring through the cars panelling. Looks great and only a small bit of wire in sight. Image quality is great and I now have a front and rear dashcam camera. Ideal for Dubai traffic.

incredible product and costumer service
after looking for dash cameras on this price range I found the REDTIGER f7N and I have been very happy. instalation was easy, the camera came with all that you need to get it going (except the Memory card), clear instructions and a QR codes that you could use for how-to videos. it comes with front cam, back cam and after I bought it I was contacted by the customer service team to receive (free of charge) the dedicated HW kit needed for 24h Parking Monitor and Time-lapse functions. the Front camera has a wide angle and the screen is nice and clear. no complicated menus on the screen, easy to set and forget. the back camera you can instal inside the car or if you have extra time you can instal it outside the car for better image quality. I recommend this camera and give kudos to the costumer service team which proactively contact me with extra options
