Saltwater Sport Fish of the Gulf Field Guide (Fish Identification Guides)

We checked out a bunch of fishing type guides before our trip to florida where we planned to fish and snorkel. This was the best so we purchased it. Clear, concise, good illustrations/images. Good quality binding and good information.

We used this in our homeschool saltwater fish unit study. We carried this around while we were in the keys. It was fun for our youngest to watch his brother and dad pull in fish and he could identify them.

Purchased to help identify fish I might catch on the Gulf Coast. It's not complete with every species you might encounter but has the major ones. The illustrations are good, some basic suggestions regarding tackle and notes on edibility and how to prepare for eating. Handy for a trip to the beach.

I enjoyed how easy it is to identify common gulf sport fish with this book. If you like fishing along the gulf coast you won’t be disappointed with this. It covers details such as how they look, what bait they bite with, location, records, etc.

I’ve learned some cool things from it already (just started), love it!

Just bear in mind it’s about 4 1/2" x 6". Will fit in my back pocket. On the good side it’s 198 pages

This is a decent field guide. The pages are kind of hard to turn so it isn’t ideal but it does give you very good facts about the fish and what I look like. I wouldn’t say that the cooking recommendations are ideal.
