Great bag!
This bag is great. I think it'd be nice if they offered different colors (but I'd still pick this one probably) but other than that, it's an awesome use of space. I can fit my scoped takedown in it with no problem. It's also a comfortable pack. All in all, great quality and great design.

Looking for a bag for your scoped 10/22 TD? This probably isn't it.
(click "Read More" link at the bottom to see the entire review)Like many folks who bought a 10/22 TD, my love for the stock Ruger bag faded as soon as I added a scope. The stock bag is great, especially since it was included, but it's length will only accommodate the shortest of mounted scopes. Anything longer than 10" (mounted fairly rearward) and the stock bag will probably be too short.People deal with this by either getting a shorter scope, mounting their scope with a quick release mount, or getting a new bag. If you're like me and didn't opt for the shortest of scopes or a QR mount, then you are probably shopping for a bag/pack that accommodates a longer scope. This isn't it.My 10/22 TD with Leupold 2-7x28mm Rimfire (in a DMZ one-piece mount) actually fits *better* in the stock black nylon Ruger bag than in this Copper Basin backpack. The stock Ruger bag requires some careful positioning, but then the stock/receiver section fits without placing pressure on the scope. In this pack, the scope is under pressure for the same rifle when the pack is zipped. You can see the issue even if you use this pack for a TD without a scope. The stock bag allows you to fully close the flap when you don't have a scope mounted. This pack requires you to place the stock/receiver section on an angle to even get the flap *partially* closed.I think advertising this pack as a pack for a TD is a stretch. In my opinion, a TD bag/pack should *at least* accommodate a TD with a standard stock and no scope to fit in the compartment with the flap closed. This one doesn't. Add a scope and you are not going to be happy. Perhaps this is one reason that the Copper Basin website shows this pack with a TD model with an aftermarket *collapsible* stock.Sure, you could use a QR scope mount, but many of us bought the TD for the simplicity of quick assembly. Furthermore, if you go that route, why are you upgrading the bag? The stock Ruger bag will then work.Assuming you have a QR mount and want to upgrade for a bit more stealth, I still have bad news - unlike the stock ruger bag, there is no dedicated pocket for a scope in this pack. You'd have to put it in the same pocket with the barrel. I just don't get this design. The dimensions seem way off for a TD, especially if someone is looking for a bag to address the chief complaint about the stock Ruger bag - its short length. There is good news though. The materials are great and it has plenty of pockets. The main compartment for the stock/receiver section is very wide, so it's easy to slide in a TD, even one with a pistol grip. The two large compartments also have a fleece-like lining on one side of each compartment. The straps and zippers also seem to be of good quality. I am less enthusiastic, however, about the cinch straps for the two main compartments. Their attachment points are on the the edges of the bag, so the amount of possible cinching is constrained since tightening these straps actually cinches the entire bag. They also lack a quick release latch. My advice for Copper Basin:* Make the bag 3" longer and redesign the main compartment and bag closure mechanism to accommodate a TD with a 12" scope attached. That should cover most folks, including folks with the very popular Nikon line of rimfire scopes.* Fix the cinch straps so they can actually cinch...and add a quick release latch to each* Add a long narrow compartment for a scope, perhaps by making the barrel compartment narrower. What percentage of people are actually using a bipod on a TD? Not zero, but certainly far lower than the percentage of people who want to attach a scope. Do that and I will be on it like stink on a monkey. Until then, I will still be using the stock Ruger bag and looking for other options.

Great pack for the 10/22
Great pack for the 10/22, the only thing I'd like to see is a little more room for "other things".Granted I wanted this for use as more of a "get home bag" than just an inconspicuous gun case so that should play a part. I hope they come out with a mkii version that has the dimensions of a "normal" pack and put the extra space to good use

Love it! They need to make an AR-15 bag!
I love the setup. It's completely discreet. Anyone will see it in the truck and think it's a back pack. If copper basin would drop the pocket for the barrel by a couple inches a 16" AR-16 would fit. The lower fits just fine.

Perfect for tricked-out takedown
I bought this because I added a Simmons scope to my takedown and was left with two choices: find a shorter scope, or find a pack other than the factory one it came with. This pack not only fits a scoped 10/22 but it fits with a tactical stock and a bipod. And I have more room for personal gear and Ammo! The pack is discrete and super comfy to wear. I couldn't be happier.

Awesome Field bag
If you have the ruger take down model this is a must, I bought the set that came with the hard case but after carting that around and all my ammo I was fed up. This bag holds the gun plenty of ammo and mags and still has room for more. You can easily put a handgun or two if you spread it out evenly. The only concern was how tight it fits after mounting a scope it still fits fine and zips but it takes some wiggling.

If you own a Ruger 10/22 take-down this is the best carry-bag available. Well designed, discrete, and well built. If you are considering the purchase, don't even hesitate, it's worth every penny. Nothing else to add. Period!

Good solid pack
Good solid pack. I like the fact that there s no weapon give away like the Ruger case. Plenty of room for extra mags and ammo. A little pricy but worth it for me.
