I think this clock is like marmite: you either love it or loath it. My pet hate on clocks and watches are numbers: I prefer simple batons. However, I’m strangely drawn to this clock with its mix of numbers and Roman numerals. I tried it against a cream wall and a green wall: the green wall won. Two reasons for not giving 5 stars: the hands seem to disappear at the four quarters behind the “bars” making it difficult to read sometimes. And mine has a slight dent in the centrepiece which I didn’t notice until all the packaging was gone and the clock was on the wall. Neither of these prevent me from recommending, even though I don’t like marmite! It has become a talking point with visitors, all of whom (so far) like it. They think it’s unusual

Easy to install and will safely hang from a picture hook (which was good news considering the bracket that's supplied with the clock is not up to the standard of the clock itself). It's quite nicely finished, the numerals are particularly well done, though some of the joints where the cross pieces are welded could be nit-picked over, however, it's only really noticeable on close inspection. The only other issue I had was the hands aren't clearly visible when they're on top of the cross pieces, so telling the time at say 6.15 can't be done with a quick glance. This was remedied by a lick of paint to the ends of the hands.The movement is virtually silent as advertised with no tick whatsoever.Over all, I'm very happy with my new clock, and for the price, I'd recommend.

Keeping good time and we find it easy to read. The centre disc says “Old Time 1837” and is meant to look old and washed out - as it would be were it nearly 200 years old. As it has hardly any ‘tick’ to hear, so they have put a cogwheel in the centre going round all the time, so you know the clock is working - very clever. P.s. the gold hands look more sparkly in the photo, than they do in real life. All the numbers are coated, so easy to clean (unlike my last clock, which had paper numbers).

The clock look amazing on my wall. Probably it is not very easy to read,especially if there's much light in the room. I think it's because of the gold colour as it reflects light.I was not very impressed at the beginning as the clock stopped a couple of times, but I decided not to return it and wait. It has been working since however I am not sure if it'll last.

The product is nice and weighty, it is truly silent which was the main criteria for me and does look nice from a distance. The issue I have with it is the low resolution images they have used for the dials and centre image, they are blurry and look very cheap, which is a shame because froma distance it looks like a nice piece.
