Waste of money. *by C***I on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2018* The new valve works fine but I had to call a plumber to install it as the valve would not screw in enough. He had to put some compound on it that he said would not impact the gasket seal. He said ordinary vasoline or other similar compounds would cause the seal to deteriorate more quickly. The instructions do not say anything about the difficulty of screwing in the new valve.As to the round "tool" to use for unscrewing the old valve, it did not stay on the valve top as the old valve was very tight and this so called "tool" is plastic and has no handle. There is no way you can unscrew the valve by hand, with or without this plastic "tool". We used the handles on a plyers to fit into the old valve top and then used a crescent wrench on the plyers to turn it with a lot of force until it was unscrewed. Then it was difficult to pull the old valve out as it was so tight against the cylinder in fit into. The plastic "tool" was worthless to me and I paid about $6 for it. Not worth the trouble to package it and mail it back. ### ⭐⭐ Lasted only two months *by L***W on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2019* I usually get several years life from authentic Sloan cartridges. This imitation didn't last but two months. I would only give it one star, except the tool is handy. ### ⭐ Unofficial Part Makes Flushing Difficult *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2019* This product unfortunately is not an official Sloan made replacement part. It fitted into our flushmate pressure vessel fine, but the flush experience required great strength to trigger the valve. I ordered two replacement valves and both are what I would classify as a failure to function in a reliable manner. Both valves are stiff and make flushing difficult. Word to the wise, order only the official parts!
