Boine KDLT002 Xenon HID Headlight Ballast Assembly Module Compatible with Lexus IS300 ES300 LS430 SC430, Mazda 6 RX-8, Toyota Avalon Sienna Celica Prius

This package is a full replacement set for the high-end HID Halogen headlights that came with my 2005 Prius when new. These replacement HID lamp + igniter modules are made in China, but they produce nice and bright white light (estimated to be 5000K) -- no complaints so far. My car is 21 years old as of now and I was replacing the two failing original igniter modules, one per headlight, and it was a bonus that new halogen lamps were included. I find no fault with these new items, including the halogen lamps. They work 100% as described and are recommended. For those of you venturing into this territory with your own Gen 2 Prius, know in advance that virtually all the "How To" videos found on YouTube are seriously lacking in how to swap out old igniter modules with new. The problem is that the large metal-capped lamp connector from any igniter module will not fit through the headlight bucket to connect to the lamp. I ultimately had to remove the caps and was just barely able to feed each capless connector wire through in each bucket. The cap is made of soft aluminum, thus is easily removed and replaced. A factory cap cannot be easily removed/replaced, if at all.

I have tried a couple different hid ballast for my 2005 toyota prius that didnt work. For some reason this car does not recognize the after market ballast?? I can take the kit and power it with a battery, but in the car nothing!?! This ballast fits just fine and there are a lot of youtube videos where people take apart the end connector to try and get it into the headlight housing. You have to look at the housing for a few minutes to figure out how to get the light socket into the housing. It can be done with a long screwdriver and a 90° pick. I suggest cutting the old connector off the ballast and using it to test out how to get it into the housing. Before you try to install the new one so you know how to do it. Its a little tricky and you need to be patient but does fit. It plugs in fine also. People complaining dont have any skills and should not try and repair things they dont understand. * i disvovered the high beam function no longer works* but i changed the HID bulbs to l.e.d. and they are really bright now! So 4 starts because now high beam.

Works great. Wasn’t too hard to install, lots of vids on YouTube. Way better than paying garage like $200 to replace.

Fits 01-05 is300 perfectly. New wiring is not needed but the ballast is fine. Hoping it lasts a long while but at a 1/8th the cost of OEM always worth a try!

Well, what can I say, they are working. Will they last 21yrs like the original factory Lexus ones, probably not, but time will tell exactly how good they are. I did not use the bulbs that came with the Ballast, but the light that is being put out, is far supreme to what I had prior.

Literally trash. Ordered, took forever... when I got it...... part is faulty. Doesnt work. Did a power test with a power probe, no power to hid. This is trash. Buy quality Toyota from a junk yard, part out or anywhere else other than here.

This item arrived well packaged. It was incredibly easy to install, requiring only the removal and re-installation of two screws and one electrical plug in, plus the installation of the light bulb itself, which was included with the purchase making it a better value. All of the parts look to be as good of quality as the original. I suspect they will be very durable based on the look and feel of the materials. So far, this is functioning just as well as new one. I haven't noticed any flickering and the bulb is a nice, bluish hue.

For the price you can’t go wrong fits the compartment well and the factory harness plugs fit perfectly and you get a new bulb with it I would recommend it to anyone.
