Love this! Seems to keep my skin hydrated longer than other lotions or body butters. Scent is great-not too much, easy to use. Is pricey but worth it!

Pros: The Body Shop Pumpkin Body Butter is a great gift option because The Body Shop body butters are always deeply nourishing, very dense, and incredibly hydrating. This one has a warm sugar pumpkin scent that actually reminded me of Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62, that same vanilla, sugary sweetness that just feels like fall. I do not pick up on the pumpkin notes quite as much on my skin, but everything blends together into something that smells like autumn and Thanksgiving, and honestly just smells yummy. I like to use The Body Shop body butter on my feet because the butter rich formula really shines there. I concentrate it on the driest, highest friction areas like my elbows, knees, the heels and balls of my feet, and my hands, especially the backs of my hands since I am washing them all day long. It sinks into all those dry skin grooves, especially on my feet after a summer of wearing sandals, and it leaves a nice lingering scent on my skin. Cons: My biggest issue with The Body Shop body butter is the jar format. It comes in a circular tub that is too thick to work well with a pump, and dipping my fingers in every day to scoop it out feels unhygienic since I am reintroducing whatever is on my hands back into the jar. I ended up repurposing a mask applicator scoop from another product just so I have a cleaner way to portion it out, which also helps it last longer. The body butter also takes a while to rub in fully, so applying it all over would take forever. I stick to my driest spots instead of using it head to toe. I cannot confirm the 96 hour moisture claim since I am usually showering again before that window is up, but it does moisturize well in the meantime.

I’ve tried quite a few different body butters so I have a good deal of experience in judging them. This Body Shop Pumpkin Body Butter is one of the best I’ve tried! This butter comes in a tin container and is 6.75 oz. It is soft in the container and easy to get just the right amount for application. I’ve used some body butters that are hard and solid in the container and similar to a hard wax puck. This Body Shop butter isn’t that way. My fingers dipped in and I brought up enough to apply to the dry skin on my elbows. Wow! I love the scent! No, you won’t smell like a pumpkin pie when you use this butter. It smells lightly of pumpkin and I detect a slight floral background. It smells fresh… hard to describe. The skin on my dry elbows immediate drank in this butter and there’s no remaining oily, heavy or greasy feel. My elbows feel softer and smoother. So I applied more of this butter to my legs with the same results. Softer skin without feeling oily. This is a great body butter product. It is a bit more expensive than some other body butters but in my opinion, it’s worth it.

I'm a long-time fan of The Body Shop's body butters, and the Satsuma scent is a great addition to my routine. The product delivers exactly what I look for in a deep moisturizer, especially for dry spots or during colder, drier seasons. The texture is rich and creamy, more of a traditional body butter than a lightweight lotion, which is excellent for intensive hydration. It does require a little massaging to fully absorb, but I don't mind that trade-off for the deep moisture it provides. Once rubbed in, my skin feels incredibly soft, and I find the hydration lasts well throughout the day. The scent is definitely the star here. It's a bright, fresh, and authentically zesty citrus—it really smells like a fresh satsuma orange. The fragrance is strong enough to be noticeable when applying and for an hour or two afterward, but it fades nicely into a light, pleasant trace scent that isn't overpowering. If you're sensitive to heavy perfumes, this one is vibrant and uplifting without being cloying. I've been using it primarily on my arms and legs, and the texture has been fantastic, leaving my skin smooth without a sticky residue once it's fully absorbed. This tub is on the smaller side, but because the butter is so concentrated, a little bit goes a long way. I use it more sparingly than a regular lotion, so I expect the jar to last a decent amount of time. It's truly a nourishing product that makes my daily moisturizing feel like a small self-care ritual. This is a five-star winner for me and a great choice for anyone looking for deep hydration with a fantastic, energizing citrus fragrance.

Great product to use to keep skin moisturized, especially in the winter months. Light scent that does not go on greasy. Use it all winter long, keeps my skin hydrated for 24 hours.

I have several products from The Body Shop, and when I saw this one my first thought was... who would want their skin to smell like pumpkin??? So, of course, I needed to try it! Fortunately, the scent is not what I would call pumpkin. To me, it is more of a warm vanilla scent, very pleasant and not overly sweet. It really captures the feeling of fall and the beginning of colder weather. I was also afraid the body butter would be very dense and greasy, but it is surprisingly smooth and easy to spread. You don't need much product to cover a good area, which is important considering the price. It absorbs nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky. I applied it in the evening, and the following morning my skin, especially my hands, was noticeably softer and better hydrated, without any greasy residue. I have tried several Body Shop body butters, and this has quickly become one of my favorites. The scent, texture and moisturizing effect are all excellent.

For me, this is a winner. It smells incredible; a great pumpkin scent. It comes in a large tub and there is a lot of product. Color of the lotion is an attractive light orange. The product is thick and spreads easily. Because it is very thick, it doesn't absorb instantly. I had to use a little and really rub it in, and it still felt like the was a little residue on my skin. This wasn't bothersome though, and wouldn't stop me from using it. The product didn't bother my skin and was moisturizing enough. Might work well on dry skin long-term, but it's still too early for me to comment on this. Biggest problem was that it smelled so darn good that it made me hungry. While a $30 price tag isn't cheap, I've paid that for very small amounts of skin products. This is a much larger container and should last longer. It's not a bad deal for the price. Would buy again.

The Body Shop lost all imagination integrity and customer loyalty. The classic fragrances now smell cheap and NOTHING like the originals. Some are still excellent but I can’t see the newest owners making a go of it. It was always our favorite brand! Biggest mistake was not keeping Anita on as at least a consultant! My sister worked at the original US store! White Musk and Dewberry were THE smell of the Body Shop now they smell dreadful! I still have my reference bottles. Rougeberry was the most delicious but I would be leary of them even trying to replicate it.

Anything body shop I love. Prefer the body butters, as they go on thick. I use satsuma in summer, it keeps some of the bugs off my arms and it smells good.
