Had one 30 years ago but lost it. I removed the second alt on my Ram 2500 but had a bear of a time getting back on without this. So second time around, I remembered I had one and bought this one again. There are other things you can stick between the belt and the pulley but this just works so well. Makes the job much easier, especially when dealing with awkward Alternator that's in a hard to reach location.

This was a great product to get! It had my belt off and back on in under a minute! I was impressed with the solidness of the product and definitely a keeper to remove out on the belt whenever work needs to be done to the pulley system! 100/5 stars for this one

Good price. Good quality. Magnet not strong enough to hold on pulley. Belt removal was very easy but reinstalling was very difficult as tool kept falling off.

DO NOT BUY FOR A 2020 SILVERADO 5.3L the sidewall of the harmonic dampener is a lot thinker than what the tool allows for on my truck disappointed....

I hate stretch belts. But what I hate more is doing stretch belts without the right tool. This wont work for every application, but it works for most of the ones that don't have a specific tool. Works on the Kia/Hyundai with stretch belt. It works on some Mazda. I will not work for BMW, Ford Fiesta. Those have specific tools. I have not tried it on the new Chevys with the AC stretch belts, but I have used the Gates 91030 for that application. The tool will go on the back of the crank. It's fiddly but that was the only way I was able to do it. This Lisle tool may work for the Chevys if it fits behind the crank pulley. Anyway great must have tool for annoying stretch belts. It has a magnet, unlike the Gates 91030, which helps when using it.

may not fit past the frame all the time wish it was just install tool cut old one out or 2 seperate pieces. may want 2 i put new stretch belt on but was off by bit so first pass got it 90% on then second pass moved it 2 groves over again but damage had been done to belt still way better then old belt but the big lip on pulley cut threw the belt like butter a secont tool would have moved it over that last little bit. still when this can get by the frame if it even has to then this works easily
