By babysitter got a new puppy that used one of these boots as a chew toy. It was not in pieces, but it was covered in little tooth holes, top, bottom, sides, everywhere. While I wouldn't exactly recommend this kind of treatment, the boot STILL doesn't leak, at least not for light puddle jumping or lakeshore exploring. The foamy material just squished back together. The only slightly bad thing I can say about these is they do run small, I'd say about a half size. If your kiddo is just entering a new size, these will fit perfect. They are very light which makes romping around in the mud extra fun! However, we received our 3rd pair as a birthday gift in November and my daughter has been complaining that one shoe is really hard to get on.
