A worthwhile device
I was looking for a phone holder that could fit the hot shoe on my DSLR as well as mount to a tripod for shooting videos and stills to post to social media. In addition I use the WiFi feature between my phone and camera so that I can use it as a viewfinder for macro photography. I don't have a flip out screen on my camera, so the phone feed is perfect. It's easy to use. It adjusts easily to attach the phone in either vertical or horizontal positioning. It's made out of plastic, so I'm not certain that it would survive an accidental drop, but a more heavy duty device would cost significantly more. I'm confident that it will service my intended use for quite some time to come.

It does the job
I purchased this to mount a cellphone and Canon EOS R to the DJI Ronin S for active-tracking and while it worked well enough for that purpose, I am not convinced about the quality of this unit. I'm still on the lookout for a cheap version of the DJI mount, as it looks a lot more sturdy. I can see this Ulanzi unit breaking because the clamp is a bit clunky and removing the phone wasn't effortless. But it's early days. Let's see how we go. 3.5 stars
