It leaves a sticky material. Has anyone else have this happe?** A: yes it does leave a sticky feeling but it is a gel and will keep the eyes moist due to dry eye. Your eyes in the long run will feel better **Q: Are there preservatives in this?** A: Yes, there are preservatives in this. Polyquad is a brand name preservative for Polyquaternium-1. Polyquad is a derivative of BAK and is considered a detergent preservative. **Q: Can you put in refrigerator** A: I have not put the, in a refrigerator, the label gives a temp.
